You raised some good points about the British press Steve. But don't for a minute believe that the press represent anything like the opinion of the vast majority of the people in this country.
I know where you are coming from and I can agree wholeheartedly with your views on the slobbery that is so often attached to the British image abroad. I can say that 99% of the population here do not align themselves with so called royalty (lets face it the royal family are no more than German imports), nor have they any support for lords, dukes, et al. It is such a shame that the image perpetuated around the world is distorted by so many.
The state that this country is in spiritually is pitiful. The established churches are nothing more than theocratic, Godless institutions with no Biblical basis whatsoever. This situation is by no means peculiar to Britain. It is worldwide.
Thanks for a great web site. It is so refreshing to see truth be proclaimed in you publications. I really like he Spurgeon material (He was born only a few miles from where I live).
