Psalms
1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth
in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Notice that the man walks, then he stands, and then he sits. So, what is the most dangerous part? Obviously, the walking. Many Bible believers think they can walk with the wicked, but they will never stand or sit.
We had a friend in Michigan, a lady of some conviction about sin, who hated beer. But, she decided that she would tolerate it when her husband's friends came over. After a while, she served the beer, and after some months, she was drinking beer with these men.
What small compromise have you just made recently? Oh, you will never go beyond this point, will you? Wrong. You will be a full participant soon. Mark it down.
Dear saint, please come away from that walk. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross.... so that he could save your soul. How can you walk anywhere but in his precious foot prints?

Get used to it, all ye Goyim like me-- God has a real special arrangement with the Jews. is evident that as many as 80% of the preachers in America are nothing by fund
raisers-- Good eaters-- Good smilers--
And, damned to hell in a hand basket.

How was it right after you were born again? Rejoicing, relief from sin, and zeal to talk to other folks about Jesus Christ, right? Was it not like "wafers made with honey"? Baklava Christianity?
So, why does your Christian experience now taste like oil? Sort of a lard and bacon drippings religion? It is OK, and it nourishes, but it has lost that old sweet taste.
What comes next? Well, when the Hebrews got to the taste of oil days, they at once rebelled and demanded Moses take them back to the leeks and garlics of Egypt. If you have not yet come to this point, it will be only a short time, now, before you will be making friends with Egyptians. Those old friends will seem to be having more fun than you.
Finally, what can you expect after this? Answer:

QUAIL! What a deal! Good meat again, and that is even better than wafers and honey. Be careful saint, for when you start demanding that God treat you better, the fire of his wrath may very well be falling next.
Now about falling on your knees and beg the Holy Ghost to help you get back the wafers and honey religion you first had?

What do Seventh Day Adventists, New Age Health food nuts, and PETA have in common?
Answer: They abhor meat. They also believe they have an evangelistic calling to destroy other people's joy at eating meat which God commanded and gave to all men. The only hope for these people is to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Then, they will come to be thankful to God for all of his bounty and provision.
You ask, "Are you saying a SDA is damned for not eating meat?" No, I am saying that a SDA is damned for making meat the measure of holiness. Jesus ate meat, as did the Apostles. The SDA meat doctrine is an accusation that Jesus was a sinner, and thus, his sacrifice on the cross was pointless, for the SDA Jesus was not sinless. For that blasphemy, all SDAs will go to hell.
This issue is a classic example of how Christian truth can be perverted, and Ellen G. White is screaming in hell for water now because of her faulty yard stick of man made holiness.
As to PETA and the New Age health fruits and nuts, they will defend the animals until they too die, and then they will wake up in hell and scream in rage, but no one will be listening.
Selah-- God is holy, and they are worthy.
Sarah, the church gossip, busybody, and self-appointed arbiter of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Several residents were unappreciative of her activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence. She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his pickup truck parked in front of the town's only bar one one afternoon. She commented to George and others that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.
George, a man of few words and knowing his innocence (he'd been visiting a friend who lived nearby), stared at her for a moment and just walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny. He said nothing. Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Sarah's house... and left it there all night.
Lesson for George: 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. George's method could be faulted, but....
Lesson for Sarah: John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. And, this is the greatest offense in the story, for if Sarah had minded her own business, George would never have played his inappropriate little trick.
Lesson to Preachers: You are a hireling when you start accusing the sheep based on one witness or what you see in passing. Prove all things by ASKING what you saw, and ask the person in question ALONE! I hear so many tales of slow bellied preachers who make snap judgments and then act upon them to the destruction of fellowship and testimonies. The office of accuser if taken, preacher. Indeed, I believe many Fundamental Baptist preachers today are damned to hell, but they find that the role of jackboot and judge suits their punisimous ego just fine, so they are "called to preach," and they are paid to play God in the local church.
Lesson to all saints: Your first instinct should be to determine if there is a reason for what you saw that is innocent. George might very well have been IN the bar-- dragging his wayward son out of hell to haul him home.

This Psalm has puzzled me for a long time. I did some digging into the meanings here, and I believe it is one of the most powerful statements in the Bible on God's mercy and salvation to all men without partiality.
Verse 1-3 make it clear that God will make Jerusalem his headquarters one day, and we know that Jesus Christ will be God the Son ruling there.
Verse 4-6 then talk about the people who will inhabit Jerusalem. Rahab is Egypt, and old enemy of Israel. Babylon is well known for destroying Jerusalem. Philistia and Tyre are known as ancient enemies of Israel.
"This man was born there." What does that mean. It is not the writer, for several places are mentioned. "This man" is a general naming of any man who comes to worship Messiah in Jerusalem. Verse 5 is more specific and general also. "This and than man" are the men Messiah makes into citizens of the coming Jerusalem of the 1000 year Kingdom. New birth is open to all men, worldwide. I find it highly fascinating that the ancient Jewish rabbis believed that the whole world would be converted and welcomed to Jerusalem by Messiah. They agree with the prophets, especially Isaiah. Modern Christian prophecy teachers and Zionist Israelis would like you to believe that Messiah is a racist bigot like themselves.
The psalmist concludes with a comment on the joy of this salvation. It will be hallmarked by music and godly dancing in praise of Messiah. All of the great "springs" of inspiration will come from Jerusalem.
Now, do you see why Satan hates Jerusalem? Do you see why the wicked prince who shall come as antichrist craves to rule in the holy mountains of Jerusalem? Do you also see why the Pope, and every cult on earth, lust to have a place and power in Jerusalem? Do you see why every world politician wants to broker peace, and be exalted as the prince of peace, in Jerusalem? Do you see why Mohammed's followers grabbed the Holy Mount? Jerusalem is indeed a "cup or trembling," but she is also a juicy plumb to be picked, and the trembling is due to the many Gentiles and pagan Zionists struggling to supplant Jesus Christ as the rightful ruler of Jerusalem.
Get used to it Bible believer-- All nations, especially the USA, will fade in the coming days as Jerusalem is the center of attention of the world for more than a thousand coming years. And, why not, for in Jerusalem, your salvation was bought by Jesus Christ, and in Zion, all salvation will soon be Personified.
Get this:
I work for the Federal Gov't. When the "threat level" gets elevated in 'color' when I get to work I am subject to get my vehicle searched at random. All of us already have security clearances and I don't know of any Muslims either. So there's the proof: Homeland security is moving against us United States citizens here in the homeland (gun control, search and seizure, background checks, etc...).
For the criminal: He gets to carry and use his gun. And most of the time is not subject to much prosecution since they usually rehabilitate them so they can come out and terrorize us some more. Weird!
How do we deal with Caesar as an enemy?

Beware of seeking too much help from Caesar.

You may find that God will allow you to use Caesar to your ends as you serve Christ. Do not make too much fuss over Caesar if you think you may need him one day.
What about the criminal mentioned above? You better get a gun and carry permit and be ready for him. When he arrives, give him no mercy. Wounded leopards are deadly.
Leviticus 5:1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.
It is required of you, if you are a child of God, that you speak of any evil you hear. Why? Answer: How will the innocent be warned if you keep silent. How will sin be judged in the Lord's Church if you hide evil?
But, that is not all you should be listening for. I fear that we on the narrow way spend too much time listening for the sound of the wild dog, the wolf, and the black crows. Do you hear the sound of the mourning dove?
Isaiah
38:14 Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine
eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.

Who is mourning, and you stood by and did nothing? I am not talking about going to someone's funeral. Do you and I listen for the mourning of the righteous, the living, even the wicked when they feel the sting of sin's reward? Or, just the mourning of a child or elderly person as we sit sipping coffee in a cafe near them? Do you know why we do not listen as Jesus would? Answer: If we listen like Jesus, it is clearly implied that we must take action like Jesus.
Every sinner Jesus helped deserved to be sent to hell. He helped them anyway. Do we measure our love by how worthy sinners are of our love? How wicked that is!
I was in downtown L.A. one day, I believe, riding the bus system, trying to get to my uncle and aunt's home in San Fernando. What an ordeal. I was in those college years when changing buses six times was not a threat. :-)
I stepped into a downtown cafe for a bite to eat. As I sat there, an old lady came into the cafe and ordered a glass of milk and French fries. She looked pale and drawn, and I soon realized that she was very poor. I asked the waitress if the lady would eat better if she could afford it. The waitress knew her well and said she was always hungry. As I left, I ordered a hamburger for the lady to go with the meager meal she ordered. I left and said nothing. It is one of the rare moments when I did the right thing without thinking about it as an event or as something sacrificial.
You can tell, I suspect, that I heard the still small voice of my Lord, as I walked on down the street, telling me I had done what he would have done. Jesus fed the 5000 not to show off. He fed them because they were hungry and might faint if they walked home unfed.
But, so many times, I hear sorrow and words of frustration in the market place, and I walk on by. Would a word of cheer, or a bit of food, an offer to pray with them,or a gift of a dollar in the hand of a child make a smile replace the pain? Of course it would. But, I don't listen enough like Jesus did.

ANSWER: BECAUSE GOD IS HOLY
The emphasis in the presenting of the Gospel, these days, is placed on me, or you. At the end of the Age of Grace, I find that all church groups and denominations, even the most Fundamental Baptists, talk about the hell bound sinner. They want to appeal to the sinner so they can "win some." This is understandable, but the sinner is sub-point "B" in the plan of God's salvation of men.
David said, in Psalms 51:4, Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
God is holy, and he must be justified. If God had never provided a way of redemption of you and me, and if he dropped us all into hell, God would be just. He owes you and me nothing, friend. Modern feely feely evangelism tries to portray God as obligated to save sinners. Not so. Observe....
Habakkuk
1:12 Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not
die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast
established them for correction.
13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold
evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal
treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is
more righteous than he?
Habakkuk calls on God to be his eternal predictable self-- And, to destroy the wicked. That is what God does with the wicked. Now, suppose he wanted to buy back some of the dirty wicked sinners. Suppose he came up with a plan to redeem these wicked men. What would God have to do?
Colossians
1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of
the inheritance of the saints in light:

power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
God is so holy, and sin is so anti-God in nature, that only the most precious sacrifice would do to redeem fallen men. These men God wished to redeem have NO potential, Robert Schuller. They are not potential gods, Kenneth Copeland. God does not NEED them to be fulfilled, Benny Hinn and Billy Graham. God LOVES the filthiest things in the universe, his fallen created men and women, AND these objects of his love in no way deserve it. It is somehow the measure of the most extreme love ever known that a holy God would love you and me.
Instead of sticking your cheeky little chest out and looking at how much you are worth to God, take a look over his shoulder, and see how utterly filthy and disgusting you are. Only then will you begin to see what salvation is all about.
It is the ultimate act of mercy, at the highest price, of all eternity-- that Jesus died the death for you, you spiritual cadaver.

Now, saint, are you blessed this morning? When is the last time you thanked him for your salvation? Would you be so grateful as to tell someone what a great God and Savior you have? Who would be able to keep such a thing to himself?

In a day when might is based on numbers, street preaching, and casting our devils, we hear of two men only above. They are the men who ran through the troop of Philistines to bring David a drink of water, and the fellow who jumped into a pit and fought a lion on a snowy day.
What about Shammah, the man who defended a patch of lentils all alone? What a waste of time, right? I think not. David ranked this man with the elite three! So, what is so special about lentils?
First, if this land were secured, the Philistines would be at least delayed in their advance. Second, the Philistines would be denied a piece of Israel, the covenant land, and Shammah would not allow even this humble bean field to fall to Satan's servants. Thirdly, the Philistines would not eat the lentils and renew their strength for the battle. This was indeed a strategic piece of ground to defend.
But, the thing, I think, which impressed David was that Shammah stood his ground right where he met the enemy, while all others fell back in fear. You will notice that the troops of Israel abandoned Shammah, but he fought on alone.
Friend, will you defend the little lentil patch God has given you? So, you stand alone, right? Never mind, stand fast in the Lord, and you will have the victory. Your salvation was won by one man hanging alone, abandoned against the sky, outside of the walls of Jerusalem long ago. Can you just defend your little half acre of lentils for Jesus Christ?
1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

In 1996, when we first went online with the journal, we received flames from sodomites and witches. In second place was Mormons and BIOLA U. students. Now, we get email from "good godly" self-appointed scholars who pick and gnaw at this journal looking for a bug under the chip. We are receiving daily attacks from Fundamental Baptists who have gone Charismaniac, and from tin horned seminary students who want to flaunt their ability to burp up the PhD's blather. I have come to see that there are thousands of narrow Fundamental alleged KJV only people out there who are infested with devils and are hell bound. Most don't even know it. If you had investigated Toronto, Brownsville, Smithton, and other outpourings you would have found this very experience is what many of the attenders of these meetings experienced. I study the KJV and the Record of the Nephites (AKA Book of Mormon) and find they both witnesses that Jesus is the Christ, the Holy One of Israel. The Record should not be judged from the Mormon church practices as the Bible should not be judged by Mormon church practices. I recently stumbled upon your site and must say that your approach, although in error, is admirable. I too feel that there are a lot of churches who have biblical contradictions in their man-made doctrines, and for what it's worth, I applaud your ability to address these issues in a bold manner.
Might I, as a visitor to your site and prospective customer make a few suggestions to help your ministry?
Understand that it's okay to use the NIV Bible. The bible was first written in the language of the people: farmers, shepards, fisherman. Nearly all translational errors that aren't addressed in the NIV bible are a moot point.

Learn to rightly divide the Word of Truth. The bible, wonderful book as it is, should not be taken so literally. Don't get me wrong, we know that such truths as the fall of man, substitution of Christ or redemption of sins are infallible and should no doubt be taken literally. But other ideas are supposed to be symbolic. I think your bias against the NIV has halted you from understanding this.
Again, I enjoyed your site for it's controversy and attitude, but I do believe that your ministry is in error motivationally and doctrinally. If you'll work on getting help to clear this up, then I have no doubt that your site and ministry will explode to the top!

Reader, do you want to explode to the top? What a goal for a saint! Hundreds of these letters are coming in. Very little comes in from Bible believes, though a number of you write, and it helps. I am convinced that we are coming under devil possessed attacks by people who are INSIDE the Body of Christ, and this is Satan's last tango. Many of these people, when the first letter fails in its flattery, reverse in a schizophrenic manner, and tell me they are going to pray that I am destroyed, killed, knocked off my horse, or drown in the River of Renewal in Brownsville. They never send a ticket to Toronto or Pensacola. It is hard to drown when the river is so far away :-)

I was thinking today-- why this surge of hate? The content has not changed, and the format is the same. Then I thought, Wrong! I recently went from the Balaam's Ass site to Blessed Quietness site. The content is the same, but I added The Quiet Place, and I have tried to give readers a place to get close to the Lord without distractions and bad news. So THAT is what Satan hates! His in-church people are taking this new emphasis as weakness in me, and they are attacking. Church brats are like small children-- they pick on the weak. They must think I have become weak, and they feel free to attack.

The Holy Ghost gave us the words of Jesus-- The next two verses were spoken by him who is the Son of Man and the Son of God in one person. Jesus was also a Jew. Jesus ran a carpenter's shop, I suspect, after his earthly father Joseph passed from the scene. Jesus knew Jewish commerce, and he tells us how to sell sparrows:
Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

faithless textual critic will claim that this is a contradiction. Not at all.
Jesus gave both at two different teaching sessions. These were prices in the market

Far from being a contradiction, this is a mighty proof that the Bible was born in real time in Judea, and every word in it was inspired in the setting of the mind of Jesus Christ and on dusty streets in Jerusalem and Israel.
Ecclesiastes 12:12 And further, from these, my son, be warned; the making of many books hath no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Bible study ought to make the servant of Christ tired. It is the nature of study. While the study of God's Word is a joy to the soul, in spite of the weariness of the flesh, the study of "many" secular and religious commentaries and devotional books will make the body, soul, and spirit tired.
It is not a thing to be lusted for, the collection and expert use of "many" books. A few choice writings by men who were tested and tried, men who had fruit unto righteousness, men who communicated with the ordinary man-- a few such books will sharpen our inquiry into the Word of God. But, these other "many" books must NEVER replace the authority of the Word of God.
Calvinists and Reformed men are habitually running to their mongrel scholarly mentors' books, and many of them quote them more fluently than they quote the Word of God. Diddle head Fundamentalists don't even invest in the "many" books. They run to Baptist camp meetings and conventions and collect cassette tapes which they quote and distribute. This is classic Laodicean form in the End Times.
I make it a practice to have a book burning every year. First, I burn the books I have not opened with joy for many years. Second, I burn the books which have some good work in them but are laced with error. Third, I burn the devotional books that have too much man and not enough Bible.
I keep all the heresy so I can have them as reference in case I run into the heresy in a believer of unbeliever. This is then my fast forward to bone up on the heresy so I can help the victim be delivered.
I do NOT give away a book to another saint which is dull or offensive to me. Why should I pass on the offense to him. Nor do I sell it on eBay or in a yard sale. That would be like finding bulging cans in the cupboard and giving them to the food drive for the needy, right?
Years ago, I was at a bible believer's conference where brother Rex Harrison was singing during the meeting. The Spirit of God was moving so heavily. I felt lifted up into another realm, comforted and encouraged. As the sense of God's movement began to intensify, the people began to hoop and holler. One man started walking up and down the aisle and around the crowd waving his arm and shouting and shouting. He was loud and distracting. I felt the Spirit of God become grieved and quieted as the man continued to march around the room waving and shouting. All the while brother Harrison continued to sing a wonderful heart felt praise to God.
The next day at the conference the man showed up. I noticed the arm he had been waving and waving was heavily bandaged and he was very quiet. I don't know what had happened to him overnight, but it was quite evident in the eyes of many at the meeting that God had disciplined this man. His bandaged arm was like an open rebuke from God for walking in the flesh and trying to steal the glory and attention that was meant for God alone. Our God is righteous and just and holy. He is greatly to be feared, not mocked or taken lightly for show. Praise be to his name alone for he alone is worthy of all blessing and glory and honour and power and praise.

It is implied that if we walk after the flesh, we will be under condemnation. Romans 8 is written to saints, so we see that the man, if he was born again, was condemned plainly for all to see.
It is common for Fundamental Baptists to mock at, and rebuke, Pentecostals and Charismatics for the circus they make of the work of the Holy Ghost. In this account we see that the Holy Ghost communicated through the prophet that Paul should not go to Jerusalem. Paul, who had been hit hard by the fearful Glory of God the Son on the road to Damascus, declined the message and made it clear he was willing to suffer whatever might come to him. He clearly was determined to go on to Jerusalem.
Did the message come true? Yes. Was Paul out of God's will? Was God mad at Paul for going to Jerusalem? We do not know. We DO know that God took charge of Paul's life in Jerusalem, and Paul ended up in Rome and wrote many of the epistles we find in the Word of God which guide us today in our Church life and work for the Lord.
So, the Calvinist is in trouble here. Paul seems to go against the will of God and receive God's blessing anyway. The problem is, there is too much preaching on being precisely in God's perfect will and not enough preaching about the mercy of a God who loves his children and calls them his friends.
That is why Luke, author of Acts, says, "The will of the Lord be done." Luke knew that the Lord loved Paul, and Luke knew that Paul's zeal was to witness to Jews in Jerusalem. Luke simply turned the matter over to the Lord because Luke knew that God and Paul were on very good terms as friends.
When you are NOT in sin, or choosing between sin and right action-- when you see two ways you may go, commit yourself to the Lord, and move on out in the direction of your zeal and desire to serve the Lord. Is this God's perfect will? Maybe you need to just get on with it. You are God's friend, and he is not in the business of playing tricks on you.
Did God know what Adam would name the animals? The Calvinist would say God did. In one way we do not understand this from our side here in this life-- God did know what Adam would name the animals. But, in another way, God wanted to see what his friend Adam would name them.
Genesis 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
Now, that does not sound like God had named them at all. We need to stop letting John Calvin and his modern day dry bones theologians take the merry heart out of being God's friend. Jesus did not receive your faith in his work on the cross for you, and adopt you into his family, only to keep you in suspense over your daily walk with him. Just start walking where you believe he would like you to walk.
We received a publication from Crown College, a Fundamental Baptist college near us here in Tennessee. This college is a Sword of the Lord clone, and their flagship church, Temple Baptist is an enormous mustard tree filled with all manner of birds.
The thing about the publication that was depressing was to read of their latest building project, the "Lee Roberson Christian Heritage Center." In this place one day there will be displays honoring men, not Jesus. Men like Moody, William Carey, and Fanny Crosby will be honored. We thank God for these people, but we are repulsed to see the mongrel manner of the world in raising up these men and women for honor. There is NO example of this in Scripture.
But, the most revolting thing to behold was that sordid characters, adulterers, and braggarts are to be honored along with these patriarchs of long ago-- Jack Hyles, the man who was charmed by his secretary and prayed to his mother, Lester Roloff who blasphemed Jesus Christ by saying that eating meat is an evil sin. I see that John R. Rice and Curtis Hutson will be exalted for attacking the King James Bible.
How is it that Fundamental Baptists are now raising their own shrines to their sacred icons from the past? Is this any different from the Roman Whore Church and the Greek Orthodox shrines and grottos around the world?

We read that God requires only ONE thing of his servants-- faithfulness. Yet, this new center at Crown is being named for Lee Roberson. This man is absolutely obsessed with numbers. He is arrogant in his claims for himself and mocks at anyone who cannot raise the numbers like he did.
Dear friends, it is high time we understand that hirelings are very religious, very successful, and very well received by other religious and successful men. But, the standard these people use for exalting one another is not faithfulness. Numbers gathered in is the only standard. You will NOT find any little people who were just faithful in the Crown mausoleum of great cadavers.
Zechariah 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Are you occupying a small space in the Kingdom of God, in his Church? Stop worrying about it, and get on with being faithful and doing what the Holy Spirit has called you to do. He has given you the tools to be only one thing-- faithful. God does not require of you that you be notable and great.
Please think of our example, Jesus. He, God in human flesh, was content with 12 disciples, and about 120 more who followed close. By the time he was ready to do his great work on Calvary, the 120 abandoned him, and the 12 went to sleep. Only John and Jesus' mother stood by at the cross as he died.
By modern Fundamental Baptist, Reformed, and Pentecostal standards Jesus was an abject failure. But, Jesus was faithful, and because he finished his work, though alone, he got the victory for YOU and for me.
Now, what is this small thing you do for Jesus that you think is not very important? There is no small work for Jesus Christ. And, when you think no one notices the small things you do, teach your kids at home, fix the church furnace, teach two distracted boys in Sunday School, remember this....
The Master who walked alone up to Calvary is there watching over your shoulder smiling-- just do the thing he called you to do. He will not forget-- he will one day say, "Well done, enter into the joy of thy Lord." I assure you, we will all be shocked to see how many of these great successful religious boys were not even born again-- just....

Here is a letter I just received from a self-appointed scholar. He is upset because his guru, CS Lewis, has been exposed on our journal-- Thus:
I must say that I was very surprised to come across your website. Never before in my life time have I ever heard of C.S. Lewis being labeled as a "prophet of Satan" -- pursey. I am currently a student studying philosophy and have a lecture tomorrow on the life of C.S. Lewis. I intend to propose some of your beliefs allowing my audience to take that which they hold is true. I do however have a few questions for you if you do not mind giving me the time to answer them.
1. You are correct, C.S. Lewis did divorce his wife and then remary her at a later date. I do not however see the correlation here with adultery. My view of the problem of divorce in God's eyes would be because the two committed themselves to each other and this committment should not be broken. However, does this make a difference that since he remarried the women whom he divorced? The honor was thus never broken in my sight.
2. Satanists read much more Christian Literature than C.S. Lewis so how can we say that this makes his work any more or less Satanic. The satanists I have come into contact with have even had a very thorough knowledge of the Bible. Should we not read that?
3. C.S. Lewis' books have led to my dedication to Christ, does this mean I myself am affected by the works of the devil?

Here is a classic defense of the wicked (in some suspect syntax and spelling). Note the progression of four steps designed to corner me (and any saint who stands for the truth):
In 1. he tries to justify divorce and remarriage by using human reason and emotions. I am supposed to weaken and give him guru Van Nattans approval of Lewis and all divorce and remarriage. Lewis married a woman who abandoned her husband to hustle Lewis, and Lewis married her after she was divorced by her husband.
In 2. the twink claims that the fact that Satanists have a fixation on Lewis is not a suspect issue because Satanists read, let's say, the Bible. Do they read Lewis and the Bible for the same reasons? Of course not, but this scholar hopes I will cave in at his mongrel effete logic.
In 3. he hopes I will let him use Lewis to build his zeal for Christ. The answer I gave him was, "YES!". He got his inspiration from a Satanist.
In 4. I am attacked for daring to examine a wicked man if I do not have a college degree, presumably equal to his. I have a college degree, but truth is available to every hick in the Oklahoma Hills, and more likely to surface there than in this fellow's halls of ivy.

It is the way of the Laodicean Church Age that men go up to halls of learning and dip their little bucket in the cesspool of philosophy and human sensibilities, and they come away defending Lucifer himself and think he is Jesus Christ. If tithing is not taught in the New Testament, AND IT IS NOT, what is the standard the saint can use to determine how much to give?

were to give According To the blessing.
They were to give one week
at a time.
They were to give the amount they alone determined.

to determine that amount in terms of their God given prosperity, not "until
it hurts."
If a saint was eager and faithful in this standard, then God could prosper him more and more, and God would be able to use this faithful saint to help the needs of the saints in the assemblies. God would be the one to make the decision who prospered. Paul made NO attempt to figure that out. The church leader or pastor who meddles in a saints giving, spending, car choices, leisure choices, is a man with a devil from Satan.
A friend of mine got a letter from a slow bellied Cretian preacher rebuking him for buying a new pick up truck. That preacher is demon possessed, for only a devil would write that letter. If God wanted my friend to have a new truck, then that preacher was de facto rebuking God for blessing his saint. These gigolos need to be driven out of their churches and sent packing. Vote them out in a hurry, and run them off.
Show no mercy on greedy preachers, for I can promise you that greed is not their only sin. They are into other things. Some are thieves. Some are chasing women. Some are into porn or molesting kids. Greed NEVER stands alone in a preacher. He has sold his soul, and he is demon possessed.
Who gives the harvest derived from the saint's giving? Answer: God! When did you ever see a preacher who begs for money turn around and hand double money back to a men who gave sacrificially? There is NO such preacher on earth. So, obviously, God is the reward giver. Read how it works.

The saints gave According As they purposed, NOT according as the preacher thrashed them, budgeted, begged, and demanded "tithes and offerings."
The pattern today of the leader standing before the people and leaning on them in giving sermons, and alleged challenges, is evil. It leaves no room for the saints to mature in giving, and it leaves no room for the believer to be lead of the Holy Ghost to see for himself a need of another saint, and meet it.
This biblical way of giving does not call for a collection plate as the only target for throwing your money at. It can be a matter as simple as seeing another saint in need and meeting the need, possibly only one time. Also, privately purposing allows the saint to keep his giving secret. But, "systematic giving" makes a show of giving, as does "faith promise" giving. Seeking a tax receipt makes the saint's giving a matter of public record. Thus, there is NO reward in heaven later, for the record is here in this life.
Look how Christ rewards the saint:
Revelation
22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let
him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and
he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and
my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Each saint is rewarded According As he has worked. If he worked for a tax receipt, or for the thanks of the preacher, or for the rush of being praised by the receiver of the gift, that saint will see his giving go up in smoke at the judgment of his works in the Glory.
I suggest you ignore the fat faced jackboot preacher who jerks your chain to give according to the defined approved needs. Give cash, food, cars, or what ever is needed, and give to the individual under the condition that they keep their ever loving flapper tight closed.
When the collection plate passes by, make sure the preacher can eat and pay his bills. But, if a load of silly circus toys are being financed by the collection plate, hand your gift to the preacher to him in an envelope. And, if he makes a lot of fuss over it, flattering you, tell him you will not be giving to him again for six months at least. Maybe the next time he will receive with joy and let God reward you.
How did they disburse the giving of the saints?
Acts
4:34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors
of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto
every man according as he had need.
The need of the saints was the only use of the giving. The giving also was not offered until this urgent need was perceived. They had NO budget.
Conclusion:
The gifts were given According To the blessing God added to the giver.
The gifts were disbursed According To the need of saints in trouble.
There is NO other standard in the New Testament. Anything adding complexity to this simple way of life in Christ's Church is damnation and heresy.
There will be two response to this one-- you will either hate it, and me, or you will weep for the Lord's Church.
It is getting to the point where most Fundamental Baptist and Charismatic pastors don't believe anyone in front of them is born again. You may have heard, "I don't know if any of you here today are born again. I only know I am born again."
I may be accused of harping on this, but we cannot say enough about it. It is a plague. This is the Laodicean era, and "few there be that find it"-- biblical salvation, that is. How does a preacher get results in a dead era?
The only thing left at "altar call" time is to try to convince the saints that they are not saved yet so that they will come crawling up front to get saved again. The Baptists do this by cleverly talking about the evidences of salvation, giving, soul winning, faithful attendance, giving, being sinless, giving, tithing, and so forth. The Pentecostals eagerly outright TEACH that you can lose your salvation, which is a lie.
If you had a bad week, fell into sin, or cannot speak in tongues yet, you are already feeling like a church house loser. All you need next is to be subjected to a knock down drag out, 35 verses of "Just as I am," to make you doubt your confession of faith you made long ago.
What does God give saints? Doubt? Paranoia? Does God call his pastors to bash the saint with implications that his faults may mean he is not born again? Listen to God:

Thessalonians 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father,
which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through
grace,
17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
So, when is the last time you heard a message of comfort? Fundamental Baptist and Charismatic pastors are terrified to preach comfort. They cannot preach "Good Hope" and "everlasting consolation" if they expect to keep the troops worked into a frenzy and giving 'til they are broke.
Contented sheep may relax and start enjoying the Great Shepherd instead of being in perpetual terror of God, Christ, and the fire breathing supreme potentate up front at the church house.
It is time to ignore these preachers when they play these tricks. Get them alone and tell them you are fed up with terror instead of "Good Hope." If they won't listen, go find some old preacher who has been tested and tried by the devil and by hard times, and see if he has been to the Throne or Grace and found the Savior who gives "Good Hope."
To you preachers who keep questioning the saints' salvation, if they made a confession in public, of their salvation, you are duty bound to believe them. God sure does!
Romans
10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on
him shall not be ashamed.
Preacher: If you refuse to believe the words of a saint in confession of Jesus Christ, then I have to question your salvation. Why? Answer: You don't trust God to take the sinner at his word. You don't like salvation by speaking in faith. You want works and results and giving and soul winning and mad frenzy and loyalty to the preacher and... and... and... WORKS. This is why you don't call the song leader, pianist, certain leaders, and YOURSELF to the altar. You have believed that works prove salvation, so these who work hard in the assembly MUST be saved. This is mongrel Christianity and not that of Paul.
I notice that Paul believed people were saved, and that, in spite of their church being a sloppy mess:

Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom
of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous,
nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are
sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit
of our God.
Paul had NO doubt about their salvation. He made NO effort to call them to question their own profession of faith.
Paul also believed people he had never seen were born again:
Colossians
1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always
for you,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love
which ye have to all the saints,
5 For the hope which is laid up for you
in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit,
as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God
in truth:
If works is your proof and test of salvation in other saints, then you are damned to hell, and you ought to either repent, or go join the Jehovah's Witnesses and work, work, work your way to perdition. Do you recall when Jesus questioned the salvation of the disciples? Never! In fact, he said nothing clear about Judas being a fake until the kiss in the garden, yet he knew Judas was not converted all along. Jesus would be soundly rebuked by the gurus of Tennessee Temple, Crown College, and Pensacola Christian College for not confronting Judas with at least one altar call.
I went to a church once where a young boy, from a loser home, would dive for the altar every Sunday when the call went out for salvation. This boy is being conditioned by the pastor there to see salvation as something uncertain. It appears that salvation can be lost, and, as with the Roman Whore Church, it must be maintained by acts of adoration and physical actions. What will happen when this boy gets to be 20? Answer: He will either deny the faith, assume he is unsaved, and run with the devil, a loser like his parents. Or, he will become "called to preach," and he will do to the saints what was done to him and keep the tradition of mind manipulation going.
Also, I believe that young adults come to be born again with reservations. These days, trial marriage is the norm. Divorce is spoken of as an option by newly weds. "We are going to give it a try, and if it doesn't work out...... etc." I believe this constant questioning of the saints' salvation from the pulpit brings about a "trial conversion" trip to the altar. Preachers wonder why there are so many false starts. The answer is, these preachers don't believe the confession of faith of the new believer, and once the victims figure that out, they just assume "it didn't work out." Blasphemy!
Did you ever hear of a teen getting saved because a sweet old man of God thought she was saved, but she wasn't? She did not fear hell, but she did figure out that she was a sinner-- a deceiver. No altar call. No trip to the big tent meeting. She and the Holy Ghost had a time together in her soul, and she went looking for salvation.
Read her story in our article about Pop Rand. As you read, realize that the Holy Ghost did not need the help of a pleading harping pastor to question her false profession of faith. I think these hireling preachers don't have an ounce of trust for the power of the Holy Ghost. They think that if they don't play some tricks with the altar call, God will not be able to save sinners. This is possibly due to this monumental hate, in Baptist and Charismatic circles, for Calvinism. Well, Calvin had plenty of warts, but he was 100% correct in calling for absolute trust in the sovereignty of God. What kind of God do you have who cannot save souls without YOUR altar call? Answer please?
Our family have heard, several times, a pastor or evangelist say, during the altar call, "I have been accused of trying to talk people out of their salvation. If I could talk you out of your salvation, then you are not saved." Blasphemy! You CAN talk people out of their salvation. You can mess with their mind until they come into doubt. But, you jerk, you cannot talk GOD out of their salvation. You ought to be horse whipped. Furthermore; where in the Bible are you told to try to talk anyone out of their salvation? The office of accuser of the brethren is taken by Satan. You are serving Satan, as a devil's advocate, when you toy with a saint, with your clever words, until they doubt their salvation. Damnation on your withered soul, you Judas. YOU are the one who is lost and just playing games.
There is NO gift of the Holy Spirit to preach doubt. There is no ministry of accusation in the New Testament. BAH!
Saint, how about getting comfortable with Jesus-- take the "Good Hope" and the "everlasting consolation" that Jesus gives you. Stop doubting your Savior, and walk with him as your friend.
Hebrews
12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son
is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement,
whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Are you feeling like you are getting a whipping from God? What a blessing! This is not God trying to tell you you have lost your salvation, in spite of what the flake preacher tells you.
This chastening means two things:
1. You are his child. He does not chasten the unsaved.
2. God is not done with you yet. When he is done using you in this life, or if you mess up bad enough, he will simply take you home to be with Jesus. God will NOT cancel your salvation.
Stop listening to these flaming fools who question your salvation. You don't need to be saved again, you need to get right with your Lord. Confess your sins and abandon them. Then your Lord who loves you will give you back your "Good Hope." That is a promise!
I want to suggest something a bit radical.
Long ago in China, Jonathan Goforth would preach to large gatherings of believers. He would then close by quietly saying, "It is time to pray." He would then bow his head and pray silently for some time. One day, as he did this, a Chinese pastor began to wail and call out to God in repentance. Soon, all over the mass gathering, people were praying and confessing sin. This was not in any way a Charismatic circus as we see today at Toronto and Brownsville. There were NO signs or wonders-- only prayer of repentance and praise.
There was no altar call, and brother Goforth was shocked when this first happened. From then on this was the pattern of his ministry in China.
Here is what I want you to do, but only if you can do it sincerely and in love for the Lord's Church. Next time the preacher starts this altar call with all the tricks, trying to make lost sinners out of born again saints, you start praying in a clear godly voice. Not with animosity, but with zeal. Pray for repentance. Pray that the preacher will respond to his own altar call. Pray for power in the saints. Above all else, praise God for your salvation and that of all present who openly speak of Jesus Christ as Lord. Pray that those not yet born again will repent and believe in Jesus Christ, AND say so out loud.
Will Jesus be mad at you for interrupting the hireling who is trying to rob saints of their "Good Hope?" What does HE say?
Isaiah
35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to
them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold,
your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and
save you.
Ezekiel 34:16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
What shall we say about the jackboot Marine type preacher who weighs in at 390 pounds?

10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep
are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf
catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13 The hireling fleeth, because
he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd,
and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even
so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
This good shepherd did NOT lay down his life for you only to see some slow bellied hireling try to rob you of the joy of your salvation. Watch out for hirelings. Don't stand by idle as they torment the weak and faltering sheep. Confront them openly.
A WORD TO PASTORS:
Are you, preacher, a hireling, at least in your manner? Are you messing with the minds of the saints in order to get a busy altar and carve notches on your gun?
If so, I suspect you run off to preacher's conventions and conferences in monster churches and at the old alma mater, your "nursing mother". You get all charged up to see your church grow, and you pound the sheep harder and harder in the hope that something exciting will happen in your church. I learned long ago to stay away from preacher's rally's. They are dominated by hyper-tense glory boys who exalt one another over numbers in their Sunday Schools and the number of busses they run. In fact, a lot of those stories are LIES-- urban legend!
If you really WANT to be faithful, stop this running around, and give yourself to the sheep. "FEED my sheep," Jesus told Peter. The reason you are distracted is that you don't really study the Word in depth. You jabber your way through your sermons after only an hour or less of study. Also, you don't know the men of your church, at least not on Monday through Friday. You are not their friend. So, they respond to you on Sunday and Wednesday night with shouts and Amens, but you don't really know how they think and live. You are too busy fooling around, playing games, and surfing the Web. Some of you are out chasing whores and hitting the booze. The word is out about many Fundamental Baptist preachers, sir.
There is a solution to this. STUDY! You will find that if you get deeper and deeper into the Word of God, YOU will have a revival of your soul and mind. Then God will use you. If you refuse to reform your ways in Christ, you will be a deadbeat for the rest of your life. I promise you-- worthless as tits on a boar hog.
Use your own altar, and get right! Stop blaming the saints for your lousy performance.

I dare you to skip the traditional altar call. Instead, ask one of the leading man to respond to the message, or ask if one of the leading men had some other Bible text come to mind. If you have not raised a bunch of babies, the Holy Spirit will speak through these men just as easily as through you.
You may want to ask if someone is in need of comfort or struggling with sorrow. If someone raises their hand (forget the "every head bowed and every eye closed" rubbish), ask if someone else would pray for the one in need. If someone comes to the altar on their own, without you pleading or even mentioning it, great! But, ask someone else, same sex, to come and pray with them. These secret altar calls ARE NOT FOUND IN THE BIBLE.
If you want to deal with salvation, ask if someone has never confessed their faith before men, as Jesus asked us to do. Invite them to stand and confess Christ publicly. Read Romans 10:9-10. Again, stop the secret silliness. Heads up, shouting for joy, weeping with those who weep, rejoicing in the confession of the saints. This may startle the people, but preacher, if you really worry about who is saved, ask them to say so. If they do, believe them, and exhort them to follow on-- in short, give them EVERLASTING CONSOLATION AND GOOD HOPE.

Saint-- Before you give up on your preacher, please print this article and hand it to him quietly. Tell him you hope he will learn to feed the sheep and give them Good Hope. Some of these men are in need of prayer and direction. Some will take it. But, don't be surprised if you get churched before next Sunday. Just give it a try, OK?

liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim
a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the

Liberty is corrupted right around the world. Many nations, long ago, received the Word of God and proclaimed liberty on the basis of morality, righteousness, and Jehovah God. However; today, liberty is defined as the right to be filthy, exalt sodomy, live like dogs, and slap God in the face.
The wrath of God is very near to the earth. AIDS is paying back many of the fornicators and adulterers of the earth as I write. Prisons around the world are bursting at the seams. Robbery, murder, drug use, and laziness are rampant. As these degraded values are exalted, the righteous are throttled and rebuked. Laws are being made daily to stop the mouths of the righteous. Canada leads the way. The Bible is being accused of being a book of hate.
So, use it or lose it. What freedom of speech we still have must be used with holy rage. The unspeakable, by worldly standards, must be spoken from the street corners.
Hebrews 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.
Are YOU speaking out? I am not talking about in the church house-- I mean, are you speaking out in the restaurants and on the street corner. Are you talking about righteousness at the barber shop? Do the clerks at the grocery store know what God says about life in your city and state because YOU declared it? If not, why not?
I am sorry I missed updating this are recently. We had a problem in our home.
We found that the Bible again is very practical. First, in a supreme effort at urban renewal, we decided to add book shelves and move some books from storage to shelves. When we went to get the books, we found that the state flower of Tennessee, mildew, had taken its toll on some of the older hard back books. We cleaned them off and made mental note of this.
Next, I was examining the edge of the cement slab on which the side building, and this computer, sit, and I found three termite runs. Ugh! We had the whole place treated for termites when we moved in, and yet there they were again. The termite people came back and did the treatment again, and now we understand that everyone in Tennessee retreats every year.
On top of that, we decided to put guttering on the back of the building mentioned in order to get water away better. We found the facings were partly rotted, and we had to replace wood pieces. I have thought of the following verses many times in the past few days:
Matthew 6:19-20 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
James 5:2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
Yet, a promise comes to mind-- A promise from my precious Jesus-- He is, while my son and I try to salvage this earthly habitation, building us a wonderful mansion:
John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
I exalt God that Jesus is preparing for me a place to spend eternity that makes Queen Elizabeth's Buckingham Palace look like an out house (garden privy to you in the UK). If you have never believed in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you will never see better things than you have right now. Your battle with moth, rust, termites, and dry rot is as much of heaven as you will ever see, for hell will be infinitely worse than any small troubles you experience here.
Why put off the great salvation of Jesus Christ?
Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
The following letter was sent to me by a Charismaniac preacher who wants to break me down and call me to the front of the local loonie bin to fall on the floor and vomit on myself under color of the alleged baptism of the Holy Ghost.
"Jesus has great plans for you Steve, quit hiding and hear the Word of the Lord as He calls you out of dead religion to a living relationship with Him. He is calling you to experience the supernatural aspect of His love. You know, healing the sick, raising the dead, etc. It is coming for you. He is on your trail and soon you will have a Toronto, Brownsville type encounter with the very God you have been running from. You like so many before are persecuting the very people you will become one of."
This mongrel dog is trying to move my mind to look for "something more", "the gift," or whatever he can trigger in my imagination to exalt myself. If I would do this, he would be first to encourage me to greatness. Of course, he would like a little credit when Paul Crouch interviews me on the TBN show.
Here is the answer to flattery:
2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Job 17:5 He that speaketh flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
Get thee behind me Satan.
It is the mark of a cult and hireling that he is a master at flattery. You cannot catch Jesus once flattering anyone, but you CAN find him rejecting flattery several times. Giving credit for work well done is found in the Bible, but exalting someone beyond measure, or predicted they will become someone great in the near future, is wicked.
Are you one of these folks? Do you take people in and take power over them by praising them to their face and in front of others? This is Satanic, and Daniel tells us your father, Satan, will use this method to dominate Israel and the world.
If you want to praise someone, praise God. If you thank God for the blessing of some saint, the glory goes to God instead of man. This is acceptable. But, even in this, you must be modest and restrained, or your friend my inhale the incense and be raised up beyond measure.
Also, in closing this thought, beware of these people who prophecy that some great thing will come to you soon. The tricky Satanists will predict that the power of the Holy Ghost is about to fall on you. They may tell you that God showed them that you will be doing some great thing soon. If you let this take root in your mind, you may well be drawn into the clutches of devils. Denounce these demonic prophecies with the strongest terms from the Word of God. My favorite:
