THE PRESENT DISTRESS:

1 Corinthians 7:25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful. 26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. The context is the question of marriage at Corinth. We are not interested in marriage as such, but you will notice the the "present distress", that is, the persecution and conditions prevailing in the city of Corinth for the Christians, changed Paul's view of life choices temporarily. The "present distress" of the Lord's Church in the USA and the world may require us all to temporarily make choices that we would otherwise not have to make. Keep this in mind as you read please.

This is an ongoing discussion of the economic stress caused by
the mad governance by the US Congress and Presidency over
the past 30 years. ALL Presidents in that era made rash moves
at war and in deficit spending, and it is now time to reap the harvest.

It is also assumed on this page that the Obama administration is
totally driven by doctrinaire socialist, and some Marxist, zeal. The
Democrats, with few exceptions, are willing to destroy the US
democracy to get reelected and to pass out the pork back home.

It is also assumed that the USA is of no significance in the End Times
prophecies of the Bible. So, we believe the present stress is the
diminishing of the USA so that the world's attention is totally centered
on the Middle East and Jerusalem where the end game will be played.

2/25/09- THE BOMB HAS BEEN DROPPED

I am horrified at this, even though I called it before it happened. I take NO joy in saying, "I told you so." I fear that what is coming, in the end game, is America becoming the de facto financial slave of China. Singapore, and several other Asian nations, have also been caught in this bank crash. Obama and Congress will be forced to let America suffer under the collapse of Bank of America and Citicorp, and the Stock Market will crash into the basement when financial people realize that America is no longer the place to invest. This will not be because our nation is no longer productive, but because our government cannot govern in matters financial without consulting with Asian overlords of finance.

You need to understand that when the Treasury takes over a bank, it sells off its "good assets." Loans and mortgages are "good" assets. But, Citicorp is a grandfathered bank, and its assets in the form of loans, accounts receivable, are to very bad risks, (I am told that many are thord world nations) which will never pay on the principle of the loan they have taken. This is about as poor an "asset" as possible, and the Treasury will not be able to peddle these "assets" to anyone.

The irony of all ironies is that this is all being presided over, very possibly, by a citizen of Kenya, Barak Obama.

I can also see now why many states in the USA will see no reason to bear a share of the burden of Citicorp's and B of A's folly as the US Government tries to print money (read that- devalue the dollar), raise taxes, and muddle its way back above water. AND, Obama et al are talking about another trillion dollars in bailouts. How long will it be before we folks in Texas hear merchants say, "We will take dollars, but we would prefer Pesos."?

The USA will simply fly apart, and China will take an enormous loss, as will anyone holding stock in the big banks.

Bible believers: We are now going to learn to lean on the Lord alone, and we are going to see which local churches and which pastors will sustain one another during fearful times.

Calif. is one of the states that served the Federal Government notice that Washington cannot enforce law in California which is in conflict with Calif. law, as the US Constitution guarantees. 2/23/09- You must read my 2/22/09 below to understand the following:
In view of the States' Rights movement now in progress--
as of today 20 states have sent Washington notice they are taking back their Constitutional rights....
There are three ways the Feds and Obama can force massive change on the USA.

1. Destroy the economy and devalue the dollar extremely.

This would have an immediate result in killing states' rights. All state treasuries from the tax base would be cut in half in value. Prices would rise in exact proportion to the devaluation the dollar. This is historic in all nations where this has happened. Thus, the state governments would have half the revenues needed to maintain services and pay employees. Only a fast acting arrangement with another nation or external source of revenue would save a state. That is, if they were unwilling to let Uncle Sam bail them out. This would be done by printing devalued money and funding states that cooperated (including dropping states' rights talk) with the plan.

The trillion dollar bailout, which no one I know can explain where the cash came from, will finally be added into the national debt, and the dollar will crash. There is no other outcome.

2. Arrange for another 9/11 type event.

9/11 was a hoax. Go to YouTube and watch the towers fall. Jet fuel does not burn steel, and buildings that burn and fall have historically burned for days before going down, and then, there is not ONE example of a steel reinforced building burning and then totally falling. The steel structure is ALWAYS left standing. Each tower fell in ten seconds, the time it would take a brick to fall from the top of the buildings to the ground. This is how buildings fall when they are prepared by demolishing companies so that they fall in their own footprint and do not fall over on nearby buildings. Building Seven was demolished for NO GOOD REASON. It DID happen to be full of Federal Records, and one brief report told of twelve tracks in the basement garage loaded with gold.

But, 9/11 was believed by 99.9% or all Americans, and not ONE Congressman asked for a real investigation of all the service people who had access to the buildings before the planes hit them. The security happen to be under a contract of a brother of George Bush. But, the whole event caused Americans to put flags on their cars and call for revenge on "them Aaaarabs". Thus, we went to war. America was united in blind patriotic zeal, and Obama now knows it will work again.

The next event to unite the nation so that it forgets about states' rights will be one of the following:

1. A nuclear, probably neutron, bomb / missile attack over a key target, like NYC or Washington DC. A center to run the country is in place in Nebraska, and the President would just happen to be out of town, as Bush was when 9/11 happened. The target might also be the US Capitol when the House and Senate were in session.

2. The poisoning of thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands, of people via a city water supply, or via a man made biological agent.

Such an event would unite Americans to lock step in patriotic zeal rivaled only by the mindless patriotic zeal for the Fatherland after Hitler burned the Reichstad building in Germany.

The bailout bill recently provided for three things that will be used to isolate and put Americans into a state of fear.

First, the bill provides for mandatory civil service of all adults age 18 - 24.
Second, it calls for psychological testing of all Americans.
Third, amnesty for illegals, and a reduction of zeal to stop illegals entering the USA is provided for.

We were missionaries in Ethiopia during a Marxist coup, and the new government closed the university, and they required all youth, age 18-24 to join a corp in service to the nation. The youth were indoctrinated in Marxism, and they were sent all over Ethiopia to teach the new way in villages. The key was to send every one of them to the part of Ethiopia farthest from their own home town. Some wore their cheap uniforms and did what they were told. Most of the youth threw the uniform away and melted into the life of the area where they were sent. The key to the program was to permanently dislocate them from their home town. If they were seen there, they were arrested and put in prison or killed.

Another use of a 18-14 year old youth corp would be the upcoming national census. It could well be turned into a lengthy interrogation of each citizen to learn how they are thinking and to learn who refuses to answer illegal questions.

As to psychological testing, this follows a classic Marxist Stalinist technique of forcing each citizen to open his innermost secrets to the state. In China it was by self-criticism during the Cultural Revolution, while in Russia it was done in cell groups where people were encouraged to watch each other for violations of Marxist principles and tattle on each other. Psychological testing would be done under the ploy that many illegals have entered the USA, and we need to learn their real intentions, AND the tests would allegedly prevent child abuse and kinky crimes by learning the citizens "needs" for mental health guidance. Most American are sucker enough to go for it.

States' Rights resolutions recently sent to Washington would kick in and stop both the dislocation of the youth AND the psychological testing.... UNLESS there had just been some horrendous event and thousands of people killed by a hoax attack from outside the country. This would make any state that refused to cooperate with these two actions above look very unpatriotic and a hindrance to national security.

As to the amnesty for illegals, Obama have recently signed and Executive Order permitting Palestinians who flee Gaza to come to the USA. I am told he provided for their housing and income for living. This is part of the ongoing plan to dilute the national patriotic zeal of Americans. Furthermore, Middle Eastern people who enter the USA have historically done well and do not try to stay on welfare. They would eventually melt into US society and be basically harmless, as most illegals from Mexico do by going to work on ranches and farms. The goal, however, is working, for poor illegals, after they are given citizenship by amnesty, are historically Democrats. When a Mexican enters the Middle Class of the USA, he turns Republican. I have this on authority of many middle class Hispanics in Arizona who did exactly that. I have been in their homes and businesses while doing work for them.

3. Have a showdown with one state and thrash it.

This is the least likely response to the states' rights movement now in progress. If the Feds tried to invade New Hampshire, the temperament in the air in most state capitals at the present time, would result in governor after governor calling Washington and threatening to withhold payment of income taxes. Citizens of each state would be informed at once to pay their Federal tax payment to a escrow account set up by the state government. End of attack on New Hampshire.

There would be a progression of events, in a showdown, until the Feds either arrested the Governor of a state, or the Feds would back off. World opinion and horror at an invasion would have to restrain Washington from invading a state with the Military.

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS FOR 2/23/09

The ideal way to change a nation and people is to use the carrot and the stick. Obama has let us know he understands that all too well. He, long ago, said he was AGAINST mandatory national health care. He clearly stated that he would give people a choice to stay with the plan they have or join the national Federal plan. He has clearly stated, long ago, that he is AGAINST the repeal of the Second Amendment. He has then stated that some exceptions need to be made, in cities like the south side of Chicago, in order to get control of guns being openly carried right into schools by kids, let alone by criminals on the streets. Who can argue with that heart rending logic. So, you in Texas and Arizona need not worry- you will keep your right to your gun. But, once he cleans up some terror zone like Chicago, he will go on to reason that controls on guns needs to be expanded to here and there until the whole nation has the whole camel in the tent.

You need to understand that socialists and Marxists cannot rule a people until they have CONTROL of those people, and the history of Russia and China has shown that forcing control on people does not work. It did not work in Ethiopia where we watched the coup of Menguistu Heile Mariam. Twelve years later, Menguistu had to flee from Ethiopia to save his life. He has since converted to Christianity in South Africa. This is the only place on the web where you will read that fact.

To Bible believing Christians (NOT Rick Warren and TBN junkies) it is imperative that you examine closly whether you want to be a non-profit organisation. This is because a non-profit church organization has NO rights and is an instrumentality of the US Government. Your funds are now the only records the IRS requires to see. Under a change of America plan, non-profit organizations would be forced to report their membership list and answer questions about them. They would also be required to render services in line with new national policy, and they would be told what they could teach and preach about. There have been test mailings done long ago to test response to such measures, and I personally got one as a pastor in Michigan.

True Bible believers must consider going back to the original New Testament plan for local churches-- the House Church. This is the only way the Church survived in China during the Cultural Revolution of Chairman Mao. Then Deng Zhou Ping reinstated freedom of religion after the Cultural Revolution was called off, he and the Communist leaders were horrified to find that the Church had grown greatly during the Cultural Revolution. The Church in America is clothed in filthy rags, not a wedding garment. This is because the Church, or let us say Christendom, in America has brought in every filthy bird that wants to roost in the tree that has become the greatest in the garden. Members follow men and throng to mega church "campuses" and gulp in trendy rubbish and read from Loonie Tunes Bibles. It may well be that God is willing to let America fly apart at this time and result in much persecution of Christendom in order to prepare his bride for her arrival in heaven. In terms of Matthew 24 and Luke 17, do you want to escape the wrath to come by entering the ark with Noah or shuffling out of town like Lot? Read the chapters above and learn.

One last thought:
Does Obama compare himself to Lincoln because he wants another civil war? Let us hope he fails, and let us Bible believers pray that, by any means God chooses, Obama will become so distracted and troubled in politics, in his home, and in his personal health and life, that he cannot accomplish such a thing. We paryed this way against Bill Clinton, and God gave him lots of distractions that kept him too busy to do much harm to the nation.

Is Alan Keyes helping or committing arson to our nation? He is right in just about everything he says, but this reminds me of Jesse Jackson when he says, "there will be riots, there will be riots, do you hear me homies, there will be riots..."
There is a rush in feeling delivered from the yoke of bondage from the US Federal system, but we need to count the cost-- The powers above will not go away quietly. There needs to be a Federation of states which take back states' powers but leave the Federal Government to carry out the powers it originally was given in 1776.

Long ago I told my readers that the USA would be diminished before the end times of the Bible can be 100% centered on the Middle East and Jerusalem. I also suggested that we might Balkanize and fly apart. This may be it.

I am now wondering if the two trillion dollars of bailouts, and spending money that does not exist, is a bribe. It also may be a way to turn debt into assets for a few unseen people above us and out of sight before a collapse of the economy and the nation. Also, in the bailout were a long list of little surprises, and some of them may be giving power to the Feds to take control by force. I have heard of that forced labor by all people age 18 to 24 was in the bill. Is this true?

Getting states' right back sounds good, but anarchy is NOT the answer.

2/21/09- Citibank about to be seized by the Feds? Not a chance unless the Government breaks the law. Citybank is, as far as I know, grandfathered.

Here is one of the very obscure places where you must go to learn that Citicorp is grandfathered and is NOT under present banking law because it preexisted the US banking law: The book, Venezuela- The Challenge of Competitiveness, Page 463, Footnote 153.

Citibank (Citicorp) is bottom of the list of banks qualifying for seizure by the Feds, or, in other words, they should have been seized long before WaMu.

"For example, GLBA gave SEC the authority to oversee SIBHCs--investment bank holding companies that do not own certain types of insured depositories (at the option of the investment bank.) In addition, because GLBA exempts some insured depositories, either directly or as a result of grandfathering some pre-existing conditions, some of the most complex institutions in the United States that own insured depositories are not required to have consolidated supervision."

"The Bank Holding Company Act exempts certain types of depository institutions, such as ILCs chartered in certain states, from its definition of "bank," as well as some grandfathered banks. Consequently, a company's ownership or control of an ILC does not necessarily subject the company to supervision by the Federal Reserve."

The Federal Reserve cannot touch Citibank, nor can the Treasury Dept. which functions as a puppet for the Federal Reserve. Bank branches of Citibank you see, and they are rare, are subsidiaries of Citicorp and keep Citicorp from being a "bank" by definition because they are pre-banking law grandfathers and can call themselves anything they like. Citicorp is also now the only bank that can loan to a foreign government, now that the rest of the grandfathered banks have been merged and must keep the banking laws.

If Citicorp was seized by the US Feds, the US Government would be in possession of trillions of dollars in foreign loans that they could not call in, and the US Government could not demand payment of even the interest from all these nations. We have no national bank in the USA. Is this why Obama wants a national bank- Obama IS an economics major. If he gets his National Bank of the USA, he can then hand the accounts receivable from Ciricorp to the National Bank of the USA and enter these accounts receivable into the national budget as assets, thus wiping out, ON PAPER ONLY, the red ink. No one knows how many trillions of dollars Citicorp has loaned to foreign nations, but it could easily be over ten trillion.

In fact, has this been the plan all along? Is this why Obama et al have no fear of issuing hundreds of billions of dollars of credit in bailouts? The red ink will turn black in the end, and they are planning on it. Pelosi and Barney Frank are too dumb to deny Obama a National Bank. If this is the final picture, then we will be a nation holding the world's flunky nations' debts as our major assets. Obama might do better at collecting these foreign accounts receivable though, than Citicorp did, because a National Bank could use a carrot and stick policy by giving and pulling back political treats from the US Government, like arms. But, what would this do for our international image as the world's biggest collecting agency?

So, why not grab them now?

1. Citicorp is grandfathered and has the right to refuse to be seized.

2. The FDIC may be able to cover Citibank, (US bank) but the mortgage, insurance, and foreign loan dept of Citicorp is not regulated by anybody, and there is no way to know what the Feds will actually end up with in their lap-- accounts receivable, or insurance claims and other hidden liabilities around the world?

3. Other big banks may have assets invested in Citicorp to hide them from the Feds, and the jig would be up for them. Are these big banks devaluing Citicorp as they bail out? Will the Feds end up with foreign accounts receivable and almost nil in deposits? IE, is Citicorp a bomb waiting for a sucker, like the Dems and Obama?

I confess that I have no idea if I am onto the truth here. I do know that 99.99% of Americans, including economists, never talk about "grandfathered" banks, nor do thay realize that these banks are 100% a law unto themselves. This story is like 9/11-- people in high places know the truth has not been learned, but they are terrified of the consequences of learning it. So am I.

Thus, what shall we do? Invest in a small local bank near home, no matter how bad their interest rate is. Also, borrow in a small Credit Union near home. Also, to you Bible believers, do not put your trust in material things. God is still in control.

2/13/09- READ ABOUT THE US TOTAL DEBT AND BANKRUPTCY before you read my Modest Proposal below:

Modest Proposal for the USA to eliminate its obscene and hopeless debt-
Humbly submitted by Steve Van Nattan

Step One: Sell all nonmilitary Federal Land to American citizens at auction except National Parks, military bases, and real estate used 100% for governance. Unused land attached to military bases must also be sold.
Cede the National Parks to the states in which they are located.

Step Two: Terminate all US war making activities worldwide within three months, and close all US Military bases outside the USA. Limit US Military foreign presence ONLY to embassy guards. Use only missiles to wage war with an understanding with the world that there will be no "warning shots".

Step Three: Sell all "moth balled" US Military equipment that is not violence based. Such as vehicles and ships and freight aircraft. Sell all US Government owned overseas real estate at international auction. Give Guam and Puerto Rico the choice of becoming states or leaving the US for good (meaning they will bear their share of the tax base).

Step Four: Close the CIA and NASA permanently. Privatize all non profit corporations within six months. Exception: Meeting houses of religious groups will remain tax exempt.

Step Five: All Government retirees with more than two pension plans must give up all but two, whether Federal or private.

Step Six: Privatize all Government run transportation and commercial activity. Henceforth, the US tax revenues will never be used to rescue or finance private enterprise. All people and companies will have the equal right to go bankrupt without Government interference.

Step Seven: Cut all Federal Government employee perks by 50%, from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. to the dog catcher. Any US Government employee who is convicted of taking bribes, kick backs, and employment favors will serve twenty years in Federal Prison without parole.

Step Eight: All people on welfare of any kind, under age 65 and in good health, who do not actively seek employment, will lose all welfare benefits at once. Health and Human Services will set up a web site posting potential welfare people and their skills for potential employers. Any employer who hires these people will receive tax credits for every employee they keep for more than one year.

Step Nine: All legislation enacted will be one of a kind action. Nothing will be attached to each piece of legislation. Outlaw all lobbying in the USA down to the county and city level.

Step Ten: Enact a law that anyone in Government or private banking (such as The Federal Reserve) who is party to the US budget going into the red more than $4000 in the future, when convicted, will serve ten years in Federal Prison with no parole. (The $4000 leaves room for error.)

What would the result be?

Our debt would disappear, and the world would instantly see that we are indeed a responsible nation. And, we would no longer be the world's cop.

This is NOT "of the people, by the people, and for the people..."

Do you realize that this bill could have virtually ANYTHING tacked into the fine print. Obama could have been given Executive Powers to rule the USA by Military power- anything could have been in that bill. Also, I am convinced that a lot of deep pockets are going to be full in short order.

I have heard for years that certain leaders in high places want to make Americans hate their own nation. Some say we are being provoked so that we will want the New World Order. Others say we are being set up so that the President can use the Executive Powers Act to take charge as Americans riot. Maybe these Congressmen are just too drunk on wine, women, and power to want to do things right- just the Keystone Cops top to bottom- a banana republic in a tuxedo.

If this is how Obama and the Democrats intend to trash our Democracy, it is time for individual states to secede so they can decide if they want railroad legislation or the real thing.

We must realize that the next four years will be full of criminal process, pork barrel legislation, and finally the collapse of our system of government. Our Democratic mob is made up of people who hate America as it is. They are dedicated to one objective- CONTROL the people and skim the cream into their own pockets. Obama is a liar- he claimed he wanted a bipartisan process. This sand bagging of the Republicans proves that we cannot believe a thing he says. In fact, after he says something, assume the opposite will happen, and you will not be too surprised next time. I have concluded he DOES have the Illinios virus.

Also, let us notice that it is taking BO FOUR tries to find someone to take over the Commerce Department. Obama has "loser" written all over him by now- he lost the Republicans by cooperating with the Democrats who slammed the Pubs on the bailout, and he cannot get a team to go to work for him. Hey, send in your resume-- who knows, you might be given a Cabinet post.

BO has launched war on Rush Limbaugh, which must delight Rush-- his ratings will soar. And, Obama is going to have tea with Ahmadinejad, possibly Chavez, and possibly Castro. Wrong enemy, sir! And, wrong friends. The next four years will be marked by war between Obama and Limbaugh, AND you may be shocked one day to see Limbaugh on a voting machine. So far, Obama is looking more and more like a ham sandwich at a Bar Mitzvah.

The "economic stimulus" bill is farce.
It is like the research group that tried to cross a crocodile and an abalone.
They wanted an abadile, but instead they got a crock of bologna.

Not only is the bill two thirds pork for condoms and other non-economy rubbish. The gullible notion is that throwing cash into corporations and financial institutions will stimulate the economy.

It is story time. There was a famine in Tanzania in the 1940s. The British Government was the caretaker of Tanzania (then called Tanganyika) at the time. The British Colonial Office was given funds to buy tons of beans for famine relief. After the beans arrived in Tanzania, Colonial officials did not have enough employees to distribute the beans, so they asked missionaries to help. The rule as to who should get beans was this- "You must determine if the people you give beans to are in good enough health to make it home and cook them and eat them before they die." It was a horrible choice to make, but the supply of beans was limited, and they wanted to make maximum use of the beans to save lives..

Now, do you know, of the big eight nations, which nation started out their economic stimulus program by selecting small companies to help which looked like they could survive? Answer: Russia. Vladimir Putin said just last week, "Fitch last week downgraded Russia's sovereign rating, citing a wave of corporate refinancings." Go to Fitch, and put your cursor over each of the tabs at the top of the page to see who they care about. They do not care about Russia's small companies, they are also the same people who are destroying thousands of small businesses in the USA.

"Of course we are interested in the establishment of strong domestic rating agencies, (credit scores) which, with their ratings, will be better able to consider the specifics of the Russian market, and also offer good-quality and accessible services not just for major companies (banks and mortgage companies) but also for small business," said Putin.

Have the Feds done this for any US banks in trouble with overseas loans? I doubt it.

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Ezekiel 38:1-7 indicates that Russia and Germany will one day come against Israel. The USA will be OUT of the picture. I believe we are seeing, in Putin's craving for independence from Western monetary restraints, the bear's feet stirring for the end time drama. The USA and Europe will be standing by wringing their hands and blubbering.

Since Putin's comments above, Russia has had to give up targeting small companies for bailout because all the rest of the Capitalists in the world were throwing money at big institutional losers indiscriminately, as our country is about to do. If Russia helped small companies and let shaky banks go south, the world money moguls would panic. In effect Capitalists forced Russia to abandon the little guy in Russia. Now, tell me who the enemy really is. Also, tell me if you think Putin will not think of a plan to detour the West eventually.

The small business man, construction company, or corner market can have customers lined up down the block, but US banks and lending institutions have changed the rules on credit, and the small businesses have to file Chapter 7 or 11. We know of two small businesses (home construction) that had customers waiting in line, but the bank pulled their credit, and they are now gone. This is because large lenders have creeps sitting in LA or Boston who don't have a clue that life is still going on well in central Texas.

The reason the banks change the lending rules is often due to company receivables against debts. The lender has spies who keep track of cash flow into the small company. When a big customer pays up, the bank suddenly pulls the small company's credit and demands payment of all debt. This leaves no funds the small company needs to buy inventory. The small company is sand bagged because they have been borrowing and paying up for many years without a glitch, and the bank acted perfectly happy with the plan. Smiling faces in big banks mean nothing.

Solution: The Feds give cash to the banks so it can give bonuses to the CEO. Oh yes, and they buy $350 million worth of condoms. The condoms should be given to most of our politicians instead. I have NEVER heard any politician suggest, as Putin did, that someone needs to regulate the tricks the lenders play on small companies. OB talks about his love for the middle class- well that is ONLY that portion of the middle class that has a union membership card.

The Democrats are NOT socialists. Socialists, real ones, would go to the smallest companies to make sure they got their fair share of the pie. The US Democrats are playing the same game our dear "Conservative" Bush and Reagan played. The Democrats are pork barrel socialists ONLY when it can buy votes for the next election. Otherwise, they are Chase Manhattan Federal Reserve capitalists 100%.

When this game finally crashes, and when the dollar devalues, as other nations are experiencing, there will be a run on the monster banks, and then we shall see what OB does with that.

Move your money to small local banks that didn't close in 1929 and have never lost a deposit. There are hundreds of them all over the USA, and they are getting NO press because they are not in trouble. The ideal small bank is one that has a "loan officer" but he hands the paper off to a big lender. You don't get as much interest there, but they have no liability to pay off in a crash. Your principle will still be safe after the big banks go south.

If B of A and a couple other big banks went under, the FDIC could NOT cover the banks' customers. Also, China (our largest external debt holder) would very likely call in our debt. OB and the Treasury would have to go to the Federal Reserve (a private banking consortium!) and ask for credit to print money to fund the FDIC. At some point OB and Co. would tell people to "go away please." Or, "How would you like a job on my New New Deal FDR road crew?"

There WILL be a bomb falling one day, no matter what OB et al do, and no matter how much funny money they print. The US tax payer will inadvertently have the last word:

1. There will be a lot less tax paid due to lost jobs.
2. There will be even more tax money missing due to taxes not paid at all. OB has shown tax payers, in his cabinet appointments, how easy it is to not pay your taxes.
3. There will be a lot of capital gains tax missing due to Chapter 7s.
4. There will be even more unemployment as troops come home and want out of the eternal war zone in the Middle East.

That is when we will be on our own- the Feds will be broke.

Correction: If you are a Bible believing child of God, there is a promise to you:
Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
I would suggest you plant a garden this summer though, and "lay by" some extra food that stores well. No panic, just 30 to 60 days of survival supplies. Keep some cash on hand at all times in case of bank closures. This perverse Federal system we have will right itself after the criminals in the Federal Reserve, Congress, and the White House are exposed, and the nation will go back to work. We may be using Euros or Yen, but life will go on. The companies that are not in debt will pick up the pieces and provide basic services again. The small banks will have your cash on hand, though it may be devalued.

One thing you can count on in this evil world-- The greedy bankers and "public servants" will come up with a way to get you back to work. Caesar will find a way to help you make enough living to pay taxes. Then there is Texas-- we may just go it alone again. "Bar-B-Que anyone? We take Pesoes or Dollars or pinto beans."

One last word-- please stop accusing your local market and gas station for the high prices. They are victims as much as you are, and some shop owners are eating weenies just like you are.

Look who is making more cars than the USA!

WHEN YOUR HUT IS ON FIRE.....

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him. Everyday he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. He cried out, "God! How could you do this to me?"

Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island! It had come to rescue him! "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

The Moral of This Story: It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives.... even in the midst of our pain and suffering. Remember that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.

Barack Obama is the President of the USA. I have been encouraged to be worried, afraid, concerned, prepared for disaster, and a whole host of other maladies. I do not deny the importance of this election, but it seems to me that we need a dose of perspective.

2/04/09- "Now, in truth, someone doesn't have to have a better suggestion in order to point out that a recommended strategy will exacerbate the situation. If an allergic man has been stung by a bee, I don't know what to do except rush him to the hospital and maybe scour the cupboards looking for Benadryl. But I'm pretty sure drawing blood from his leg, in order to inject it into his arm and thus "stimulate his immune system," is a bad idea on numerous accounts — not least of which, is that I'm pretty sure an allergic reaction means your immune system needs to calm down. But the point is, if a bunch of guys hold the man down — he has to be forced to endure the procedure for his own good, don't you know — I feel perfectly qualified in yelling, "Stop!"

We are a nation which lusts for war. The most conservative Fundamental Baptist loves war and waves the flag for war at the church house often. Note the top 10 budgets for war in the world. If you think I am unpatriotic or ungodly for complaining about US war lust, read this:

Psalms 120:7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.

Isaiah 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Isaiah 9:5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

I suspect this is the first time you have ever seen verse 5 quoted with verses 6 and 7, right?

Our war budget is destroying our economy, but, according to my sources, even Presidents dare not declare peace and stop our wars. There is said to be a war making élite in the USA who will kill a President who refuses to go to war. This may have been Kennedy's problem. The USA is at war almost non stop somewhere. We have troops stationed in 156 nations around the world. Can you imagine the wealth that would be made available to our economy if we got out of the war making business and let the nations work out their problems by themselves? Furthermore, there is NO provision in the US Constitution for the US to be the world's cop. Our war making lust is an expansionist neocolonial trick to take control of national policy in the nations where we go to "keep the peace."

For you Bible believers, it is absolutely certain that the USA will NOT be in the Middle East just before the Rapture and the Great Tribulation. ALL the biblical players in that era, mentioned in the Bible, are immediately surrounding Israel. The USA will very likely be diminished and destroyed from within, AND the present stress may well be the beginning of the collapse and minimizing of the USA in the end times. The USA is NOT a great nation as defined by the Bible. We have killed over 60 million babies in the womb, and lust and perversion are rampant and politically correct. It is blasphemy for any local church to have a US flag in their church house. It is time to "come out from among them" in our mind set and mouth zeal:

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

When I was in the US Army, we were called "soldiers." Now, they are called "war makers." There is NO way you can tell me this is honoring to God. Any pastor who exalts "war makers" is a dog, a scurvy rabid idiot.

Back to the economic bail out-- It is a Band-Aid to try to hide a terminal cancer caused by murder of innocent babies and lust for blood. Dr. Jeremiah A Wright said, "God damn America." There is no need for a pastor to make such a tough statement. God WILL damn America though. His holiness DEMANDS it. God can take out nations in a flash, as he did with Sodom. There will be no revival to save America-- it is too late for that. God does not save nations, he saves people, souls.

What a great opportunity we the saints of God will have to win individual souls to Christ as America is damned as a nation.

Some skeptic will question how God could snap America back to out houses and ox carts in a moment of time. I will tell you-- it is very simple. One neutron bomb, detonated about 2 miles above New Jersey, would wipe out EVERY computer, cell phone, and transportation vehicle in NYC, Washington DC, and the whole Easter Seaboard of the USA. All electricity and water would be gone, and all public services would crash. All automobiles would be dead. We would instantly have NO governing entities functioning. It would take months or years to get life back to anything like it was before. Meanwhile, the world would go right on uniting without us, and we would end up becoming the object of foreign aid as some kind hearted nations sent food and supplies to Americans to survive. Please pass the curried lentils, will you.

AND, those US "war makers" in 156 nations of the world would become street people and live under bridges.

The only exception to this would be the Amish in Pennsylvania-- Their wagons have no electronic ignition.

Isaiah 1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

If God would destroy Israel (Judah) for ignoring the above admonition, he WILL destroy America the same way. There is no bailout.

1/26/09- THE PRESENT ECONOMIC STRESS AND BIBLE BELIEVERS
Microsoft will slash 5000 jobs over the next 18 months.
The Tech rush is entering the hangover stage. There is nothing really new and exciting enough in the tech world to surge on in spite of the economic slump- nothing you "just have to have." Technology small companies, especially in communications, have been swallowed up by the tech monsters. The "industrial revolution" factor of technology has entered the ho hum stage where people are not startled anymore.

The cotton gin was a novel and exciting toy, as was the telephone Mr. Bell invented and the Wright brothers' flying machine. But, like the cell phone and computer of our day, a point came when all those inventions were mundane and status quo. All the alleged "new" toys are now just innovations on the computer chip. Thus, the slaves of modern America, and the world, our computers, cannot drag us on through this economic crunch.

What does this have to do with the Lord's Church?

I believe there will soon come a quiet flight from trendy Christianity. Purpose driven hype will start sounding hollow to true believers in Jesus Christ. Contemporary Christian worship will be a bore. This will not happen in a big open manner. It will happen to individual Christians who start feeling empty after the big show is over Sunday morning. I see two responses:

1. Some Christians will simply go home and quit on organized church. They will not deny the faith, but they will be alone like Elijah at the brook Cherith.

2. Other saints will gather in homes to continue fellowship in the primitive form of the New Testament Church of Acts and the Epistles.

Those who stay with the organized church will become candidates for membership in the coming world church of the Antichrist. Is this good news? Answer: Yes! It is about time we see a separation of the sheep from the goats.

Matthew 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

If you are attending a mega church, or even one of many local churches over 100 people, you may be in real peril. There is NO way, in the last days, to build attendance to high levels without compromising and adding trendy do wops to entertain the masses. The "really big show" slowly pushes Bible teaching aside, and when the super guru finally stands up to "teach," he reads a couple verses from a Dick and Jane Bible, and then dishes out a lot of Christianized Dr. Laura Schlesinger rubbish.

Chances are, you are not participating, you are merely attending. And, chances are, you look for a local church based on what it offers YOU and your kids. The Lord's Church in the book of Acts was worship and doctrine based, and they did not "have something for everyone."

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The above fables come from Rick Warren, Bill Gothard, Upchuck Swindol, TBN, and a thousand other itchy scratchy gurus. Bible colleges and seminaries, without exception, train young men to go forth and put on a Gospel circus for the masses. As the economy collapses, as during the Great Depression, people will look for entertainment and diversion. The mega churches will supply just that, and many of you will rush to Christendom's coliseums for an escape from reality.

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Here is where the sheep are going as they flee from hirelings and goats.
