NORMAL-- WHAT IS IT?


We live in an era of many presuppositions about normality. We assume things are totally normal and good for humanity which did not exist just 60 years ago. Because something "works," we assume it is the only way to live. We may be wrong.

Who wants to be Normal?

Why do we need to talk about being normal? Is it not noble to be a bit strange and peculiar in modern thinking? Who wants to be accused of being the same as someone else?

There are places where we are terrified if things are not normal. A nuclear power plant has a control room where the functions of making electric power are regulated. Every gauge has an area shaded, usually green, and the employees in the room watch to make sure the needles on the gauges are in the green shaded area..... the normal zone. If a needle moves above or below the green area, horns sound, bells ring, and there is a panic to bring the nuclear reactor back to NORMAL.

You who are charmed by the modern lust to be weird or freakish would panic too if you knew the nuclear reactor upwind from you was running out of the normal designation.

So, what is so objectionable about wanting to be a normal Christian?

Well, for starters, is it commendable to be like Jesus? The vast majority of humanity, and some who sit in church pews, are deeply offended when asked to be like Jesus.

Definition: NORMAL- Conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural.

Perpetual change has become "normal." The old is replaced by the new long before the old is worn out. Everyone is doing it, so we are pressed into the mold of the mass mentality teaching that frantic change is good stuff. Well, change wears you out. It is my contention that change, as a way of life, is making people exhausted mentally, and even physically.

STORY ONE- Bill Gates left the flow of his life, and he and a friend invented an operating system for computers called DOS. What happened next was an explosion of success and Microsoft. In 1984 Michael Dell took $1000 and started a business called PCs Limited. This turned into Dell in Round Rock, Texas. At one time, Dell employed 130,000 people. Do such stories prove that sudden maverick behavior is the way to succeed? For every story like Microsoft and Dell there are a thousand total failures and disasters caused by obsessive lust for change. The stories of those who learned contentment with their lives are seldom told.

STORY TWO- Burt Woodruff hired into Brown Paper Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan in about 1927, He started as a paper trimmer operator, and 40 years later Burt was still a paper trimmer operator. He was content, fed his family well, and retired with a good pension. Burt was assigned to the sample area which Brown Paper Company paid me to invent and manage. It was a real rodeo opening a new department in a 90 year old company. The great part was that no one knew how a sample area should be run, so I got to invent it pretty much the way I wanted. I was assigned to collect samples from 13 paper mills around the USA which Brown Paper Co. owned. Burt was absolutely the most important part of the project. After 40 years in the company he knew where to find any kind of paper I needed, and being a very senior union employee, Burt helped me bypass all the red tape required by the union to get anything I wanted. When we needed the trimmer machine serviced, Burt would suggest I leave the area to have a cup of coffee. When I returned, union workers had come into the room through a back door, fixed the machine and left. No requisition forms filled out in triplicate and a three day wait. Every man in the work shops loved Burt, and they would do anything for him. If I had to do it again, there is no way I would do it without a man like Burt to help me through the maze of managing that thing. If Burt said it could not be done, that was law. My boss had a hard time getting used to that, but it sure worked for me.

There are some very special and important people who do the same thing, the same way, for many years, and we all thank God for them.

Let us discuss the gift of being normal:

Here is a mob of philosophers who were obsessed with change, always looking for a new thing. These boys would have been right at home at a technology trade show in Hong Kong.

Acts 17:21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

There is a built in ailment caused by the fact that we are all born in sin.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Adam was created by God to understand spiritual things, and the Bible tells us that God walked in the cool of the evening with Adam. God had created a man in his own image, and the man, Adam, was a friend to God. It is impossible for us to imagine what it was like to walk with God and understand everything God said. We read the Word of God, and we ask the Spirit of God to teach us, but we still often feel like we are not getting it all.

Adam was normal in his perfection, before he fell in sin. That is why I am writing this article. I want you to join me in the long journey back to the divine normal. I am convinced godliness with contentment is normal. And, for the record, I am NOT the model of normality..... Jesus is.

James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

The whole message of the Gospel is that man is dead in sin. There is a CHANGE needed, and that change comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Once we confess our faith in Christ, things change, and they keep changing all the rest of our life. That kind of change is not like the fellows on Mars Hill in Athens we read about above. The change we Bible believers experience is in becoming more and more like our Savior. That kind of change is the normality we must seek.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

So, change is good, but only if that change is the work of the Holy Spirit in the believer. Change for change's sake is the preoccupation of unhappy people who never find what they want-- never satisfied-- never enough.

Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

I believe we have an exhausted world, and in the USA, exhausted people who are never satisfied. I also believe that the commercial world addicts us to change with advertising and marketing tricks. We are forever being told that we are falling behind. And, millions of Americans will make any change needed to catch up. It all started when you were a kid watching Sesame Street, and the commercials told you that your breakfast did not pop or talk to you, and you begged your Mom for the new better cereal. She got it for you, and you soon wanted the cereal with the toy in the box. When I was a kid, Wheaties were sold by a football player eating a bowl of Wheaties, and the message was, "Wheaties..... the breakfast of champions." The fact is, no real champion would settle for a breakfast of flakes. Champions eat steak and eggs. And, today, you stand in line to get a new iPhone, and the only new feature is a new color not previously available. LIKE THIS

Now, the final destination in modern society is to make change normal. Rip up the old carpet, and lay new carpet. Junk the old car, and go up to your nostrils in debt for a new one. Do not stop and ask if you need it-- it is NORMAL to live in perpetual discontent with what you have.Long ago, we ordered a custom made 386 computer. The speed was said to be raging fast, and the hard drive would hold all of 300 mega bites of data. We got the computer shipped to us, and the day after we set it up, the day after we were sitting in awe of this raging monster, my son told me it was obsolete. That is a word from Hell, my friends..... obsolete. Obsolete is one of those words that make the modern soul tremble..... like, Alzheimer's, cancer, terminal, and maimed. And, the ads on TV, and online, make it very clear that everything you own is obsolete. Mr. Wing Wang of Shanghai, China has made a newer, faster, and more powerful one.

Power used to be a 460 cubic inch V-8 engine in your Mustang. Not anymore. Power now is processing speed. Power is also your ability to write a report and have all the grammar and spelling automatically corrected for you. Thinking for yourself is obsolete. Indeed, power is being nagged by your iPhone every couple of hours to take you pills, call home, or push the big button that says, "START". Have you noticed that cell phones don't have a button that says, "STOP"? The button says, "END". Pushing the END button is emotionally terrifying because it implies that there is no more..... no more texting, no more senseless chatter, no more music, and no more Googleing. Push END long enough, and the whole world goes away, like in Armageddon.

Thus, what is normal?

 

THE FILM:

The Grand Assumption

The Indians are in the way. The cattle are in the way. The sod is in the way.

The ethic that justified running off the Indians, displacing the cattle man, and turning the sod upside down was in the results, right. Eight years of unimaginable prosperity. The biggest crop of wheat (per acre) in human history. How could this be evil?

The following film was done in 1937. It was the only commercial production commissioned by the US government. It played all over the USA, and it was one of the most powerful and captivating films ever to be seen in theaters around America. The hero, Sam White, saw it in his home town with his family, and he wept as he saw himself as the symbol of many things. Please think about modern America, hell bent to get the next rush from life at any cost:

"The Plow That Broke the Plains"

The farmers, the politicians, and the marketing corporations saw the cattlemen as a nuisance and preventing the great future of America. Fences went up, and the cattle drives died. The sod was destroyed, and the dust started blowing. The old normal was rejected as the new normal prevailed. And then, it was all destroyed when the rain failed to come. The new normal was Hell on earth.

Today, the farmers use better techniques and a third normal is in progress. It is assumed that nothing can go wrong. We have learned our lesson.

I have news for you. All the the grain farming of the Middle West seen in the movie is now irrigated by deep wells into the Ogalala Aquifer. This is a virtual sea of water underground. It has no source feeding it, so as the water is sucked up and sprinkled on the grain fields, and the aquifer is slowly being used up. Once the Ogalala Acquirer is totally diminished, the farms will dry up and blow away again. There still is not enough rain in that part of America to sustain the crops being planted.

The answer is to change the crops to drought resistant varieties. But, alas, that means the American people would have to leave wheat and corn behind and eat sorghum and other grains. Who wants to eat rye bread every morning for breakfast? So, one day, America will run out of water, and the plains will blow dust again. It is being absolutely predicted by informed observers. But, no one wants to change to the next normal until half of us starve.

And, packing up and moving to California will not be possible in the next crisis. California is broke, and it is being inundated by Mexicans who want to make California a part of Mexico. The new normal is busting the state of California economically.

America, and many other nations of the world, are living under grand assumptions which are fatal. They are far from normal to the earth God created and gave us. The people in China dare not take a deep breath without the fear of the stabbing pain of air laden heavy with soot. The glory of capitalism seemed like a grand new normal, but China now weeps, literally, as the new normal rots their lungs.

When you think something is normal, think again. I believe about 90% of everything considered "normal" in this world is a freak and will come crashing down around our ears one day soon. This is also true of spiritual things. What you and your church believe is the normal Christian life may very well be nothing like the life lived by the early Church in the book of Acts in the Bible. If the Apostle Paul were to return and visit your church, do you imagine he would think he was visiting a church like the ones he planted long ago? Would that honcho wailing into the mic, and the sexy girls swaying back and forth remind him of Jesus? I think not.

 

Men Acting upon Bad Information

So, what did we learn from the movie above?

The US Government could not be wrong. The railroad tycoons could not be wrong. Prosperity is the reward of hard work. These were almost all decent people. They believed what they were told. Some moved all the way from Europe to the Great Plains. There were even German Mennonites among these farmers-- hard working and God fearing people.

But, while their intentions were good, and they were not lazy, they were wrong. We can try to excuse them for being lied to and acting upon bad advice from the US Government, but they were still wrong. It matters not how decent you are, and how godly you are, if you are a violator of God's natural law, you will pay the price right along with the wicked.

Are you depending on your sincerity?

What is happening in your local church which violates the ways of Bible people long ago. Do you sing songs to the beat of a rock band instead of the old way of singing? Did the pastor tell you that this brings in the people, and especially the youth? Where in the Bible are we told that we must abandon the old paths in order to get the masses to come into the church?

Normal

After eight years of unbelievable prosperity, the "nesters" of the High Plains believed it would never end. They had no reason to believe it would end. Life was good. There were a handful of voices from those who knew that turning the prairie sod upside down was a bad idea, but they were ranchers and cowboys, and surely they were just biased because they were losing their cattle-based economy. After all, they were old fashioned, and we need new modern ways, right?

Apply that to life today. We are tempted to believe that the frenzy of technology is leading to eternal prosperity. All the struggles of life are eased by technology. The Stock Market is booming. Those who predict a collapse of technology, or those who claim that technology is bad for our mental and physical health, are voices crying in the wilderness. They are just unable to adapt and enjoy the benefits of progress, right?

We all wander mentally. When your mind wanders, do you end up feeling grateful for your life, or do you end up concluding something better and new needs to come your way? What do you dream about?

In our churches, those who call for a return to the old paths, the old worship, and reconsidering the worthiness of Contemporary Christian Worship, are just cranks in the balcony. Surely God likes our wild antics. After all, we are getting results, and our churches are full. And..... we are sincere.

Retribution

The plains states nesters received retribution for their folly. Was it the wrath of God? I think not. I believe it was natural law being visited on the offenders. Many of them were godly and decent people. But, when a godly person makes a pig of himself, he dies of heart issues or diabetes. God does not have to visit them personally with his wrath. They simply get what we all know will happen.

So, the nesters became victims of their own folly-- it was inevitable.

I had a cop in a church I pastored who once helped me with this. I young married man was about to drive out of the church parking lot. The cop, Bill Crane, and I were standing talking to the guy, and I saw him toss his brief case up on the deck behind the back seat. I said, "Jack, if you have an accident, that brief case will become deadly and bash in the back of your head." Jack laughed at me. Bill Crane turned to me and said, as if Jack were not listening, "Don't worry, pastor, there is a built in penalty. Jack will learn." Jack immediately reached back and grabbed the brief case and dropped it to the floor.

This discussion here is my way of trying to convince you that there is a built penalty for being suckered into compliance with the new normal. I am inviting you to make a different change-- one that follows the ways of the Word of God.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Last Comment

This film on YouTube has only had just over 1000 viewings at the time of this article. This makes me suspect that people today do not care, or do not have the ability to care, about the lessons of history. You need to understand that modern Americans, indeed, the whole world, are so drunk with modern life that they have no concept that history has an uncanny way of repeating itself. I hope you are the exception to the ongoing trend.

 

The Argument:

We have gone a long time assuming that anything new, if it feels good, must be normal. The following are topics I chose at random to illustrate how we easily drift into abnormal opinions and thinking processes because of the abnormal society we live in. Ask yourself what other areas of thought have been twisted in your mind to become abnormal. Get busy in your Bible, and find out what is normal, that is, what is reality.

Fiat money--

President Nixon took the dollar off of the gold standard, and he and others sold most of the US reserve of gold. The Dollar that replaced the previous silver certificate is backed by the good faith of the American people to use it. It is also the world's reserve currency, or it was until China started selling the world the idea of making the Yuan a second reserve currency. The new normal is accepted universally as 100% valid, while the virtual value of the US Dollar is 4 Cents today. The only reason this scam works is because no one wants to bell the cat.

Is it normal to do business with play money? It sure seems like it for now. But, the old ways have a way of coming back to call in the cows and count noses. When that happens, the US economy will crash, and the world will abandon the US Dollar completely.

Add to this ponzi scheme of the National Debt in which an alleged debt is carried by the American people on behalf of the US Treasury, thus giving the Treasury permission to print more fake money and require our grandchildren to pay off the debt. All of the debt owed by everyone to someone else is now at $600 trillion. This is given a big innocuous name called "derivatives." There is no way this collective debt can ever be paid down. But, this is normal, you see. It is just fine because we are sincere.

China--

"Think of all the starving children in China." That was what parents told their kids back in the 1950s when the kids refused to eat their peas or spinach. I always wondered how thinking about starving people helped them feel better, but when you were a kid, Dad and Mom's reasoning was not to be questioned.

Well, the days of Mao Tse Tung are long gone, and China is a capitalist state. True, they still have an autocracy in which the leaders choose themselves, and the people do not get to vote. But, capitalism was seen as the solution to the long string of failed "Great leap forward" plans, and the Chinese government turned the people loose to go into business. Recently, the Chinese government even removed themselves from the boards of directors of Chinese companies.

China was very recluse up to the days of President Richard Nixon and his shotgun side kick Henry Kissinger. These two men virtually opened China to the world. China moved from blaming America for all its woes to blaming "The Gang of Four," former Chinese leaders, one of which was Mao Tse Tung's wife. George H Bush later went to China, and they threw him a banquet for him in the Great Hall of the People. He took one bite of Twice Fried Almond Chicken Ding and promptly threw up all over himself. But, the Chinese loved it. This opened the way for China to make a serious assault on Wal Mart. And, China won. Today, the ships from China are lined up for miles off the coast of California waiting to off load their gongs and trinkets for the American people. Americans, to this hour, whine about China taking over America, but they would be horrified if all their technology had to be made in the USA. The price would sky rocket. So, the new normal is that China is still our competitor in making bombs and rockets and fighter jets. But, China also makes our coffee pots and our TVs. Is it normal to call the owner of the hardware store your enemy if you buy all your goods from him? No, that is insane.

So, who would promote the notion that our main supplier, as a nation, is also our main enemy? Answer: The US Government and the mainline media. They do this because they must justify spending trillions of Dollars on the arms race, a race not meant to end because it is so profitable. So, it is now normal to be forever getting ready for a war you have no plans to start, while sipping coffee from a mug made by the enemy.

So, what is the new normal? Answer: Insanity.

America, and most of the rest of the White Race nations, all sing the same tune. Europe gets the lion's share of its natural gas from Russia, and Europe hates Russia. The White Race cannot thrive without an "Other". Our system of enslaving the consumer is based heavily on the ominous Other lurking in the shadows. And, all your friends believe it, right?

Thus, the challenge for the Bible believer is to try to figure out what the truth is behind the propaganda called, "The News." And, if you say anything about the insanity of the new normal to many of your Christian friends, they will tell you that you are unpatriotic, or that you are mad with bad information. Thus, as we come down to the end of the Age of The Church, rational born again Christians will, more and more, be classified as insane by Christ haters, AND by their deluded Christian friends, as abnormal in some way. That is the price for being a normal Christian.

Suggestion: The next time your Christian friend starts venting against the Chinese and all their bombs, ask your friend if he really believes China would bomb all the Wal Marts in America. I have used this question many times with exceptional results. It forces the idiots to actually think normally for a few minutes.

Technology--

Technology turns normal in ten minutes. Something that sounded like it came from Mars when it was introduced, will be grabbed and taken into our lives immediately. We then say, "I have to have it to keep up." Or, "I don't know how I got along without it."

Really?

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Nahum 2:4 The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.

That is the Santa Ana Freeway in Los Angelies, or Highway 31 south through Lousiville, Kentucky.

The technology era is a new Industrial Revolution during which wonderful new things have been invented and shared around, things that did not exist 70 years ago. The first toys to really hit the market place in huge numbers were copy machines. Next, we got the pocket calculator which was $90 for the first one, and today sells for $2. Then, the personal computer appeared from nowhere, and it now fits in your pocket. The next phase will be to implant computers in the brain. The future is predictable. The law of the technology era is, if you can imagine it, someone will make it.

The result is that the social life of the average American family is trashed as every member of the home sits in his private corner of the world and chats with everyone other than his family. People text and run off the road and kill themselves. But, it is worth dying for because it is normal. We have finally got a verdict on the cell phone. It kills sperm in man, and this explains why so many men in developed nations are unable to sire children. One of these days, mark it down..... companies will be shipping men from the Congo and the Amazon to impregnate women in Los Angeles and Munich. Immigrants who enter the US from the Middle East will be rushed to sperm gathering companies before they can get a cell phone to neuter themselves.

But, it is wonderful because it is normal.

The Internet

Here are the "normal" aspects of life on the worldwide web:

1. Books can be Replaced by Wikipedia and Millions of Books Online.
This is partially true, as are so many of the devices of Satan. I personally read books and reference works of all kinds online. The value of this cannot be belittled. We have resources at our disposal that were impossible to get twenty years ago.

But, the problem is, people no longer believe that there are books out there in the shadows which are not online. Furthermore; anything still in print or new is not on the web for copyright reasons. So, people often quote old sources when dealing with current events. Or, they pass over recent sources, or exhaustive sources, and settle for a quickie version from Wikipedia. And, Wikipedia has proven to be highly unreliable on any topic that is the least bit controversial.

Worst of all, many people have stopped buying books and carrying them along with them, or sitting in a chair and reading without the stimulation of pounding a key board. Online books can be downloaded sometimes, but where do you write your own notes in the margin. Thus, the printed book as a tool, and as a companion, is unknown to many young adults.

Result-- Badly informed people by the millions, and I mean college graduates. The majority rules-- they are "normal," right? Not in this part of Texas. I have about twenty books in the process of reading at any one time. I love the choice, when I kick back with a cup of coffee, to pick a book to fit my mood. Right now, I can go to Colonel Fawcett's exploration of the Amazon, Teddy Roosevelt's 1909 hunting trip to Africa, Jim Corbett's hunting for man eating tigers in India, or the Corfield Report on the Mau Mau rebellion in Kenya, among other choices. I feel sorry for you poor stiffs who settle for only Wikipedia and Google. The day will come eventually, when you suddenly realize you are dumb as snot. But, of course, that is normal, right?

2. YouTube has Everything Important I Need to know in Visual Format.
Again, great resource. I love to find old TV shows, Wooster and Jeeves, and old songs from my younger days. Watching funny videos is great fun. Also, as in this article, I can add validity to some editorial I am delivering to you with a video dropped in. Old song from my past HERE.

But, there is a problem. YouTube gives information with the eye, and few people stop the thing and meditate. Like TV, the video runs by, and a few impressions are made, but the analytical process is almost dead. This makes the third and fourth generation that has watched instead of experienced or meditated on stimulating things.

Result-- As with TV-- Dumb people with a memory of BEING GIVEN a visual rush, but they have not had value added to the mind by CONTEMPLATION. They are DUMB! Ah, but they are "normal," for,

Everybody's is doin' it, doin' it, doin' it--
Pickin' their nose and chewin' it, chewin' it, chewin it--
Maybe you think its funny, but it's snot.

How can we be wrong when there are so many of us?

3. You Can Google Anything.
Google has become THE source of the world. The impression is, anything worth knowing is on the Web, and all I need to do is Google it, and I have all I need to know in ten minutes, OR LESS! The old discipline of having to research and dig in libraries, AND use some logical reasoning to isolate the most credible information, IS GONE. If it does not flow in on the first page of Google results, it must not be valid.

Result-- Again, dumb people. But, worse, these people will quote some source that I know is as nutty as a fruitcake. I am expected to take them seriously. I have to join the stupid club to keep place with my ill informed friends. Also, many sources are horribly biased and even flat out liars. It takes a lot of serious searching back and forth to isolate the truth, and most of you sheeple do not even know you need to do that, let alone know HOW to do it. Intelligent surfing on the web is an art form, and few take the time to learn it.

Furthermore; most people do not search for the contrary opinion as well as the source that serves their presuppositions. I have done this all my life. I used to listen to Russian and Cuban news on short-wave radio, not because I felt good about their bias, but I wanted to know how the adversary thought. If you do not do this, you are "normal" by modern standards, and you are stupid as a Bible believer.

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

4. You don't have Friends Nearby, but you Can have Friends Online.
Facebook is the great American friend by proxy. A friend, in ancient times, like twenty years ago, was someone you knew and spent time with on a regular basis. Until Facebook came along, a friend was a physical presence, not an anonymous entity at a distance.

In "Health and Healing," a newsletter by Dr. Julian Whitiker of Los Angeles, he reports, "Facebook has over 500 million active users who collectively spend more than 700 billion minutes per month on the site." Here is a person who has caught on to the phony world of Facebook. This society is setting standards controlling whom you will interact with. The problem is, someone who will type words at you, but who does not want their real personality and character to show, is probably a creep. You don't care though-- you believe that having pseudo friends in cyberspace is "normal," right?

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

You see, "sticking" is the criterion of REAL friendship, and your alleged "friend" in cyberspace who is in Bangladesh is NOT able to "stick." He may be an interesting acquaintance, but he is not a friend by any rational definition.

While you may renew old friendships with schoolmates, which is rewarding, there is no substitute for getting in your car and meeting a friend for coffee. There is nothing like sitting in a boat on a hot humid night in Michigan casting from the middle of the pond into the reeds for bass. That is because you have your old buddy in the other end of the boat casting to the other side of the pond. The things you talk about, and stories you tell, and the burdens you share, are priceless, and you cannot sit at your computer and get anywhere close to the same rapport.

5. You don't need to Shop in Brick and Mortar Stores Anymore.
Long ago, when I went shopping in Eldoret, Kenya, I walked into a hole in the wall shop, and the Indian owner would jump up and say, "Good morning Mr. Van Nattan. Vat are you wanting, thank you please?" Good old Damji Manji. Beetle nut dripping from the corners of his mouth, but he was poised to do anything, including move the earth and stars, to please me. That was because across town was Walji, and around the corner was J P Patel. These Indian merchants competed to get my business, and I made the most of it. I asked the price of something, and Damji Mamji quoted a price. "That is my best price Mr. Van Nattan." I then told him what Walji's price was, and Damji Mamji lowered his price at once, and said, "That price only for you, Mr. Van Nattan. I am making no profit at all." I would then hum and haw a bit, and Damji Mamji would say, "Very well, Mr. Van Nattan, you are my old friend, so I am giving you the lowest price possible." And, he would come on down to what I thought was about right. I would pay for the goods, and then Damji Mamji would say, "Now, Mr. Van Nattan, you stay for a cup of tea, thank you please."

I have news for you. Amazon, with all its wonders and two day delivery, never gave me a cup of tea. There is something very civilized about walking into a store and knowing the owner or the clerk, and it is even more satisfying if they ask how the garden is doing this summer. This is because I have made a friend of the clerk, and we both have gardens. I may even have brought him a plastic envelope of rat gourd seeds that I grew this year. The clerk knows I grow exotics, and he wants to try rat gourds. Don't tell me that the Internet has made brick and mortar obsolete. Shopping should be an adventure, and buying and selling should involve real people.

Anything else is NOT normal.

Work and Labor

Work is an adventure meant to amuse you. That is the mantra of Millennials.

My son has worked in tech support in the past, and he tells me that most of the people in tech support are playing most of the time. They don't need the job that bad. They still live at home with their parents, and they don't mind being fired. No problem. That only means living on unemployment payments for six months while they keep playing games. My son had many bad experiences having to fire some pretty nice people simply because they had no concept of doing work to justify their existence. This is not the exception in tech support..... it is the new normal. And, you wonder why you get an Indian in New Delhi when you call for tech support? That Indian has a NORMAL work ethic.

When I entered the work place long ago a man tried to stay at a job for years to prove he was dependable and eager to work. There was reward for this..... being known for having mastered your craft. Today, the faster a Millennial changes jobs and climbs the ladder, the more he is respected by employers. I have heard of employers who have no plans or rewards for an employee who stays with them for a good number of years. Company officials just don't expect it of employees. This makes for a mass of workers in the USA who are constantly checking Monster.com, and other employment placement services, to see how soon they can move on. It seems that some men have a new job every time you meet them at church.

What is the result of this ethic?

First, an employee never masters the whole environment where he works. My first job out of college was to develop a sample area for a Brown Paper Company which had thirteen locations around the US. My area was just two people, myself, and a union man named Bert who had been at Brown Paper Company for 40 years running paper cutting machines. Bert was priceless. He knew all the ins and outs of union rules that had to be observed, and he knew how to get around them. I got paper orders from the mill in half a day that took other managers three days to get by the official union procedure. Bert could get the paper cutter repaired almost immediately by the millwrights, while other managers had to wait three days. Bert would suggest I go to another building and get a cup of coffee so that I, low management, was not there to see the union men breaking their own rules. Bert also knew what paper could be cut into sheets on our machine, and which paper had to be cut on a special machine. If Bert said it could not be done, that was final. I totally trusted Bert, and he saved my hide regularly. There are not many Berts today. Indeed, today the upward movement cult is the new "normal."

Second, men no longer think in terms of a "life calling" or a "life profession." Everyone is eager to shift to the left or right and start something new. My second profession is that I am a piano tuner. There are only 4000 of us in the USA, and that is way too few. The reason there are not more young men learning this craft is that you cannot spend a couple of years at it and move on. It takes up to five years to really become competent, and you never stop learning. You also cannot diddle. If you don't keep pushing yourself a bit, you don't make enough income. When piano tuners get together, they are always asking one another questions, like, "Have you ever been able to bring an old Winter piano back to life?" Or, "Do you think it is professional to tune a performance piano to an organ that is out of tune?"

There is an unknown reward in services which millennials seldom every see. A piano tuner returns year after year to his customers, and he becomes a part of the family in many cases. He will attend his customer's kids' recitals, and he will see those kids go off to college and get married. There is a very sweet feeling in being part of peoples' lives, and THAT is normal.

Piano tuning is also a trade where, if you got the last few notes of the treble too high, the next tuner behind you will call you and tell you about it. The reason is not to be sassy. It is to help you know you have a problem. You may be getting older and have become paranoid of the high notes and over compensate. Or, your tuning meter may be off and needs to be recalibrated. Every tuner expects the other tuners he knows to want to be the best. Also, piano tuners never bad mouth one another to the customer. I have learned to find ways to cover for a previous tuner whom the customer did not like. "Tuners have bad days like anyone else, madam." I am in my thirty third year tuning pianos, and I only recently, for the first time, tuned a piano with a Viennese action, a virtual freak. The challenge is always a rush. Here is something new that I must learn to master on the fly with the customer watching. Can I convince him I know what I am doing while I learn and finally get the thing to play right? A life long profession leads to masterly. Jumping every six months leads to cash but limited competence.

Proverbs 28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Go try to find a shoe cobbler to put new heals on your wing tips. They are a rare breed. Men today want to keep jumping from this to that. The reason is obvious, right? They need to prove they are famous for mobility, not dependability..... it is the new "normal."

Migrating Priorities

When I was a kid, every American was concerned about getting part of his paycheck into a savings account. Today, I have read that the average American has $1500 in ANY account at the bank, and that is usually a checking account. People do not save for the future anymore. That priority has migrated to the point where people today are up to their nostrils in debt and paying almost their whole paycheck out in payments on loans.

Long ago, a kid left home when he was about 20 years old to make his way in the world. Today, kids are staying with their parents until they are 35 or 40 years old. What is happening? The priority to leave the nest has been substituted by a priority to be entitled..... by parents or by the government.

We Bible believers need to understand that modern priorities are not normal as the Bible teaches normality. Standards of society today are obscene and degraded.

When I was a kid, decent girls had a priority to stay a virgin until they married. Today, the priority is to mate sexually with men who look like baboons and try not to get AIDS. Parents give their kids condoms, and they let them use Dad and Mom's marriage bed to have sex. The answer is, "That way, we know where they are." When I was a kid, a girl knew that if she got pregnant she would have to stand in front of the church family and confess sexual sin. Today, the pastor will help the parents sweep it under the carpet.

Long ago, a pastor planned Sunday services to exalt Jesus Christ and produce an atmosphere of worship and reverence. Church people actually WANTED that and expected it. Today, pastors find any form of raunchy amusement to charm the masses who demand to be moved in the groin, not the soul. Thus, sexy young women breath love songs to Jesus into the mic, and the whole song is sung to "you," not to Jesus by name.

There is no indication if the "you" is Jesus or some drunk, bellied up to the bar, in a night club. It is not normal to worship Jesus without using his name.

AND, THE BEAT GOES ON
Watch this to the end, and you will see a Village People look-alike group singing in church. For you who were duped by the Village People, they were a totally queer band.

Can you imagine that, if Jesus were to return in the flesh today, he would lead a mob LIKE THIS?

So, the world's priorities have always migrated from bad to worse. The Bible tells us to plan on it:

Jeremiah 16:12 And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

If you have not noticed that society is worse than years ago, you are going right along with them, and you cannot tell that you are part of the problem. God does not tell you to just keep yourself a little less wicked then the lost sinners around you. He tells you to continue in what you learned was the normal Christian life long ago.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

The standard for normal is what the Apostles taught in the very beginning of the Church Age in their Epistles. If your pastor or leaders tell you we have to change to reach modern lost sinners, those men leading your local church are possessed of devils. Damn their new normal.

Roles of Men and Women

What was the normal life like in the days of the Bible like? The role of a man is to go forth in the morning to work, and he is to come home at night to rest.

Psalms 104:23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

The role of a woman is to keep the home, make some income at home, and keep her family well clothed and fed. That is what the Bible teaches. Psalm 31

Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

But, you probably do not agree with that. You have long ago abandoned the Bible as the final authority in your self image as a man or woman. You see women as conquerors, and you see men as cur dogs who roll over and pee of themselves every time the woman nags or nannies the man. This is the new normal, and it is wretched. We now have a swarm of woman whining about men putting the make on them in the work place, and the men are at once fired, even if the accusation is a lie. Would that have happened if the Bible normal were in place? Absolutely not.

Men are feminized and learning to behave like slaves to women. The whole world demands this of men, and there is no model anywhere of the manly man of the Bible. Even pastors and Christian leaders are falling for the new version of the lady-like man. Tony Campolo, the most gross adversary of Bible teaching on masculinity, tells us that Jesus showed his feminine side. So, some of you silly jack asses have sucked up Tony's drivel and made yourself slaves of a nanny wife. And, now you find you are no longer in love with each other. What, pray tell, did you think would happen, sir, when you handed your balls to the new "normal?" You need to stop Focus on the Family, and focus on Jesus Christ and the men of the Bible.

There is NOTHING normal about a man staying home to clean the house and take care of the kids while his wife climbs power poles for the electric company.

Food For Normal People

Does a normal person, the kind God created in the Garden of Eden, need fluoride on their teeth? Does he need to develop dementia in old age by poisoning his brain with that fluoride?

Does a normal person, the kind made in the image of God, need BPA in plastic bags and containers to hold the food he buys and stores so that his endocrine system is totally wrecked and his balls shrink so that he becomes sterile and unable to have children? The new normal is to need Viagra when one is only 45 years old. Is THAT normal?

So, are you willing to do your homework and get the chemical bomb, which was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, out of your food. There are over 4000 chemicals approved by the FDA which can be added to your food by the manufacturers. Is that normal?

GOOGLE is available to us all, and any chemical found in food you buy is dealt with by someone, and plenty of research has been done by watch dog agencies in food additives. It has been researched and learned that vaccinations DO mess up kids' minds, and autism IS caused, in part, by vaccinations. So, do you want a normal kid, the kind God invented long ago, or do you want a freak for a kid? GOOGLE it now.

The point is, if you want to be the kind of normal God intended you to be, you will have to go to war with the whole food and medical industry to avoid being redesigned to become a freak. You have no choice. Satan has inspired the money greedy capitalist system to make lots of money while making you sick and then allegedly solving your sickness problems. Even then, they do not find the cause of sickness. They prescribe medications which subdue the symptoms of the real problem, and the cause of sickness is allowed to perpetuate itself in order to keep you on the drugs forever.

I have a blood pressure spike in the morning when I wake up, and I have another one late in the evening. I have been to many doctors, including two heart specialists, and they never show any interest in learning the cause. Correction, an Indian doctor in Tennessee did two tests on me, including a lengthy sonogram. He said there was nothing wrong with me and told me to throw away all my medications. I was on four blood pressure meds, along with drugs for a whole plethora of other issues. I am now on one BP med, and all the others have been replaced by herbs and supplements. Before that I was staggering around during the day from being over doped.

Are you catching on yet? It is a WAR to stay anywhere close to normal today.

The Great White Assumption

We are jumping from topic to topic, and the choices may seem strange. The reason is that I simply picked several topics in modern life, and modern thinking, as examples. You may think of something I should have talked about. Go Google it, and see what you yourself can find on normality and that topic.

This one you will not like. I have lived in the Third World for many years, and I have become a person who craves to know about the whole world. I am not talking about a One World mentality. I simply watch in every direction in order to be as totally informed as possible.

Now, the White Race defines the important things of the world in terms of how much they benefit the White Race. Hundreds of years ago, when explorers went forth from Spain, England, France, Portugal, and Italy, these explorers, and our modern history books, reported on what they "discovered." The implication is, no point on the globe existed in any significant way, until a Gringo found it. Never mind that China has a history and culture 2000 years older than Europe-- China had to be discovered by Marco Polo. What a blessing to the Chinese to learn they finally existed officially! I have to give Marco Polo credit for not plundering China's gold and crude oil..... all he brought back to Italy was pasta, and for that we can all be grateful.

So, where are we headed? Answer: To your mind.

You live under the assumption that if it ain't good for White people, it ain't good for nothing, right? You protest, I gather. Well, the "normal" way for the Western World to think is in terms of our being the model for all progress. The USA is possibly the most arrogant in this. Most good old boys in America are conditioned by the media, politicians, Presidents, and the school system to believe that America is the most advanced civilization in human history.

America is 37th in the world in health care, but we are the most advanced, right? San Marino is 3rd, Malta is 5th, Singapore is 6th, Oman is 8th, Colombia is 22nd, and Costa Rica is 36th, just ahead of the USA. But, of course, these nations are not "normal." There is something warped about the stats that let some Podunk nobody nation beat us out of first place in ANYTHING, right?

If you are a Bible believer, and if you live under the assumption that America is the premier culture and society of the world, as Germans and the British believe about themselves, and as the French KNOW is true of themselves, then you are a simple minded bigot. You are NOT thinking with God:

Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Grab hold please-- this will be shocking to you-- God has no favorites, not even the glorious White Race. I am sorry, but your idea of "normal," as to race and culture, may need a complete overhaul.

Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

You are made of the same blood as the Bushman and Hottentots of Africa. Deal with it, Bunkie.

Americans have the notion that our form of democracy, and our "sacred" document the US Constitution, are the divine ideal for all time. That is madness. We lived in Ethiopia under a monarch, Haile Salassie, and he had a very decent and wholesome manner of leading the nation. He also gave a lot better confession of faith in Jesus Christ than President Trump. In fact, El Salvador had a dictator long ago who was a Christian and did wonderful things for his people in improving health services. You Americans have such a small mindedness of world history and governments. You are beyond abnormal in this thing, and you need to recognize who is really in charge, and, it is not the New World Order.

Daniel 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

It may come as a shock to you, and to Al Gore, to learn that GOD is changing the climate of earth.

No one is standing in line in front of you or behind you. We all stand on level ground, right at the entrance to hell, and if we all do not repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, we will all go to Hell and burn in the same equal opportunity fire with the same equal opportunity eternal thirst for water.

So, what is "normal," my Anglo Saxon friend? Think on these things.

A BLACK CHRISTIAN ASKS WHITE CHRISTIANS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CORRECTION

The Feeling

There is an argument ongoing based on love and hate. This argument has been around for many years. The question is, is hate ever constructive? Or, for purposes of this article, is hate part of the normal Christian experience, and if so, under what circumstances?

I love Elena's Mexican Restaurant here in Liberty Hill, Texas. The food is great, the service is friendly and fast, and when I go there Elena has told the girls that if I ask for Mariachi music, they must change the station on the music. But, I am sure someone else hates Elena's. The refried beans tend to be soupy, but I still love the place.

Hate runs from flavors of ice cream, to turnips, to kimchi, to Kim Jung Un, and everything between. We are very careless with the word "hate". The Bible is not flippant with this word.

Leviticus 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

Hate is coupled with an unforgiving spirit. Hate is a sin of destruction, even unto murder.

1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

We had a pastor whom we loved in the Lord. But, for some reason, his wife did not ever warm to either of us. We eventually left the church, and a friend called the pastor's home and asked his wife for our phone number. The pastor's wife blurted out, "I hate the Van Nattan's, and I hope I never see them again." My wife and I were not particularly troubled that we had been rejected. What caused us to tremble for the lady was that she had boldly murdered us according the the Bible. This lady had a great opportunity to keep her mouth shut, but her words may come back to haunt her at the judgment before God.

Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

What is the normal Christian response to our enemies?

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Do you have enemies whom you hate? If so, you are not a normal Bible believer. You are a rebel against God's standard.

Whom may we hate? David, in the Psalms, tells us whom we should hate.

Psalms 139:19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

The key to this passage is that David was not hating his own enemies. He was hating the enemies of God, in particular, for blaspheming God.

1 Thessalonians 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

This is the normal feeling of the Bible believer.

 

God, the Bible, and The Church

Antique Bible--

Do you remember when there were real revivals breaking out in churches and cities? Of course you don't. There has not been a real revival in the world since about 1950. The last revivals were in Uganda and Indonesia, and they died as soon as the King James Bible was replaced by a Bible based on the Greek text compiled by two drunk Pope huggers named Westcott and Hort.

And, if you have an NIV, or any other English Bible but the King James Bible, your Bible was based on Westcott and Hort's Greek text. They hated the deity of Jesus Christ and loved Madam Blavatsky, founder of the New Age Movement. Blavatsky founded the Theosophical Society, and Westcott and Hort attended here meetings in the UK. The two translators also prayed at Catholic shrines, and they drank Trinity Beer while they were compiling their Greek text of the Bible. Westcott actually did a beer ad in a newspaper for the Trinity Ale Company. That is your scholar, you who claim the NIV and the NASB are superior. Do you have a normal Bible? I think not.

Oh, you will tell me you don't want a Bible with Archaic English. Well, my dear English scholar, that old black backed KJV was the Bible carried around the world from 1750 to 1950 by all the missionaries from England and the USA. God was wide awake and taking notice of that period, and he built his Church around the world on that Bible. If it was archaic and out dated, why did God not inspire a new translation BEFORE all those missionaries went forth to preach?

The language in the King James Bible was CHOSEN to be archaic for a very good reason. The "thees" and "thous" are there to distinguish the "you" singular from the "you" plural. "Thee" and "thou" were not used on the streets of London in 1600 when the KJV was translated. The translators used those old pronouns so that YOU could tell whether or not Jesus was talking to "you" singular or "your" plural. "Thee" "thine" and "thou" are singular, and "you" "your" and "ye" are plural. The reason this was done was that the Hebrew of the Old Testament, and the Greek of the New Testament, distinguish between "you" singular and "you" plural, unlike English, and the translators felt they needed some sort of device to make the distinction to YOU as you read it.

Also, verbs that end in "est" and "eth" instead of the simple form of the verb are in the present continuous tense versus the simple present. This too is a distinction made in Greek. In some places the doctrinal significance is very great. Here is an example of doctrine in the present continuous tense:

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

The "eth" used in the verbs implies that a profession of faith in Christ must be followed by a life of continuous belief and living habitually, without quitting, by faith in Christ for that person's salvation to be genuine. Simply saying, "Lord, Lord" to Jesus, while living continuously in the flesh, is not belief in Christ. This was made clear by Christ in this passage:

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

You should be thankful for these efforts by the KJV translators, but then, you don't seem to care to learn the implications of this distinction. Don't even bother your pastor with this discussion. He probably has never heard it, and he will reject it as unnecessary. He will defend his freak Bible to the bitter end. Just cling to your bible, the NIV, that removes one of the names of Jesus 1200 times in the New Testament. That is a new normal bible.

When presented with one of the new Bible translations, Prince Charles of England said, "You have improved it worse." His play on words was meant to tell people he would not give up the KJV.

The normal Bible is the one Satan hates and God uses, the King James Bible.

We talked about the modern church of today above, but with an emphasis on music. The whole issue is in the question, "What is the Church of Jesus Christ?"

The answer is found in the first human family, Adam and Eve and what the normal marriage is.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

The love of a man for his wife is meant by God to be limitless. It must include being willing to die for her. The perfect model of the perfect marriage is Jesus Christ and his Church, also called the Bride of Christ in the Bible.

A God fearing husband presents his wife to others as "without spot of wrinkle." He does anything necessary to make his wife wholesome and lovely. This is the standard for the Christian Church in any age. The antique Church of the book of Acts was taught and tutored by the Apostles to be without spot of wrinkle. Purity was top priority:

Hebrews 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Whether it is the music of Hollywood and Nashville, or it is the sodomites in the second row, impurity in the Lord's Church is NOT NORMAL. It is a freak show from the world, the flesh, and the devil. It is church in a hog pen. No matter how hard the modern freak church leaders try to add a candy coating of Jesus based statements, this bride's wedding garments are filthy.

So, at the risk of being accused of being old fashioned, archaic, and antique, will you insist that the church you gather with is pure, or will you flail your arms in the air and greet the queers in your church with an unholy kiss?

Antique God--

If something is done by consensual agreement, it is OK. That is what we are told by sodomites and pedophiles. And, society accepts this as the new normal standard.

The same is true of God. If you and I see God as a hippie or rap star, or a Marvel Man character, then that is what God is to us. Does anyone check to see who God says he is? No. God of the past is an antique, and we need a modern definition of God, a God who does not interfere with our wickedness. This is the sick thinking of modern Christendom.

The first thing to know about God is that he has no interest in who you think he is. He has defined himself very well in the Bible, and all you and I need to do about the question is believe what the Word of God says about God.

Finally, let us hear from Jesus Christ as to who God is:

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

If any of the above facts about God seem archaic to you, you have no God. You are still unsaved and on your way to Hell. God has given you the verdict:

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Change God, and make him more hip and appealing to modern humanity, and you are damned to Hell.

All of the above is normal Christianity.

Leaning On A Rubber Crutch

All of the Reformed churches lean heavily on one of these confessions-- the Belgic, Heidelberg, Helvetian, Westminster, and London Baptist Confession (Reformed Baptist). Fundamental and Evangelical churches lean just as heavily on their Doctrinal Statements. The old Anglican Church leans on the Thirty Nine Articles. It is the measure of the cold calculating deadness of these churches what proportion of their zeal is for their confessions, and what proportion is for the Word of God alone.

It is assumed by dead beats in all denominations that their man made documents are their anchor doctrinally. For this reason, the Bible is a dead book to them. Oh, they would be quite insulted to read this, but as a practical matter, they quote the creeds, confessions, and John Calvin a lot more than they quote the Bible. Baptists quote their two penny gurus like Jack Hyles, John R Rice, Lester Roloff, and Bob Jones Sr. Charismatics quote their quack "anointed" dogs like Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Pat Robertson, and Tom Horn.

This is the new normal to these groups, and this is death in the city.

1 Peter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Have YOU tasted of the Lord? If not, then go right ahead and lean on your rubber crutch. It will give you comfort as you wend your ponderous way to Hell. If you have tasted of the Lord, then if is NORMAL to crave the Word of God, NOT man made epistles and creeds or television gurus.

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

This prophecy is now with us. Bibles are everywhere, and the King James Bible is still the world's best seller every year. But, the vast majority of churches have highly educated flakes who read one verse, and then they blather and bluster and pitch the bull from their own intellect. If you feast on this hog slop, and if you think it is Bible teaching, you are a loser. IT IS NOT NORMAL CHRISTIANITY.

The Church in Africa and several other parts of the "Third World" are still praying in public. God is still referred to in open conversation with approval. The average African Christian has no doubt in his mind about the supremacy of Jesus Christ as the final authority in all matters of social and personal life. The African may not live by this standard, but he never questions the standard. In the White Race world, even praying over a meal in public may draw stares of disapproval, and the name Jesus is now being blipped out by the news media the same way the "F" word is blipped out. Jesus is a dirty word in America.

This is not normal to God and to real born again Christians.

 

You Must Not Fall Behind

We said, in the introduction, that there is a kind of change that is essential to the believer in Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This change is not often made comfortably. It disrupts our way of life, but the reward is SUPPOSED TO BE contentment. The change we are talking about is that the new believer in Jesus Christ abandons his sin and makes the will of God and the Bible his new normal.

1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Gain is godliness-- this is certainly a common teaching in many churches today, and it fits well with American marketing. Discontent leads to sales, right? You deserve a Toyota. But, godliness (the result of change spiritually) directly results in contentment. This means that after we make the change for Christ, he wants us to be content.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Being content with what we have does great violence to the mind set of 99% of all Americans, including most alleged Christians. Even many preachers lust for bigger offerings so they can build bigger church buildings so they can build bigger résumé so they can be called to bigger churches, on and on it goes.

Jesus told a parable to make this so easy to understand that you must be a raving rebel to miss it:

Luke 12:13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Many of us just do NOT agree with Jesus. I once was talking about the second coming of Christ, and a lady in the church, a rather zealous lady, said, "I hope the Lord does not return until I have my living room redecorated." Quite a statement! As if her mansion in Heaven will not be enough to satisfy her soul.

If the return of Christ would ruin your fun in this life, you are in deep trouble, my friend. For, you see, Christ is not returned as much as he is already here. Christ is in you, and you are grossly still abnormal by his standards.

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

If you are letting the world drive you to be discontented, and if you are driven by a lust to tear down the old and build up the new, you are a rebel against the Lord IN YOU. Are you even born again?

How are you doing so far?

The Suspicion

There is a universal suspicion, among sinners and saints, that something is wrong. We tend to look at the economy and the dollar. This is because we are covetous people in the USA. We have not cared diddly about anything but the economy for about 50 years. Long ago, Presidential candidates had to have several planks in their platform for an election campaign. Today, the only thing the US voter cares about is stuff, money, benefits, entitlements, and, "get me more, and I will vote for you."

There are many such fears we can indulge, and they are not normal for a Christian. Some examples follow:

Fear That Something is Wrong--
Why is something wrong? Answer- The price of gas went up. Of course that has happened before, but if unemployment goes up, then something IS wrong. Well, can you still afford gas, and are you employed? If you can get along, why is something wrong? Perception and mass panic..... that is what is really wrong with YOU. Is it now normal for something to be wrong all the time? If you think so, try to analyze who or what made you believe that. You may see that you need some new friends and information sources.

We are being informed daily by the media and the conspiracy gurus that the US Government spy agencies are listening to every word we say. We are now told that Google and Facebook can tell what we are thinking. I have two observations here:

1. Neither men nor angels nor Satan himself know your thoughts. You simply need to stop believing anyone but God knows your thoughts.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

God has no intention of you becoming the victim of Google or Facebook or the Government. The only thing they can do is watch where you shop, where you search on the Internet, and who you chase after on social media. That is a no brainer.

If you see a preacher going into a bar you tend to think he has a problem. Now, he may be going in there to rescue some wayward church member, but if he does not come out soon with someone like that in tow, you have to assume he is backsliding. I was asked by a bar in Michigan to tune their piano. The first time I went but told them I would only tune it when the bar was closed. The second time they called I told them I did not like the first arrangement, and I told them to roll the piano out on the sidewalk, and I would tune it. What we show people by our actions most certainly can cause us grief.

2. If NSA and Homeland Security are watching my communications by email and on social media, then I have power. I can give them the Gospel. If they listen to my phone conversations, I can force the listening machine to kick my conversation out for some snoop to have to read. Simply write of say something like, "This is a secure communication. The Senator will be paid $2 million as soon as he convinces the FDA to approve the new Pfizer migraine drug." Do not use any actual name of anyone to avoid liability. You could also drop in other red flag words. This will make the listening machine tag your message for some agent to listen to it. Then, after you talk to your friend, give the Gospel to the agent who listens. Offer to send his kid a Bible if he will send you his address. An easy way to trigger the system would be to go to a translation site, and type in something like, "I have your new shirts" in English, and click Russian for the other language. Take the Russian words and drop them into your message in a phone conversation or email. Even easier, say Hello in Arabic..... "Salaam Alechaim."

We need to use the enemy's system to give them the Gospel. Paul used the shrine to the unknown god in Athens on Mars Hill to get the attention of the heathen philosophers there (Acts 17:18-25).

Fear In Caesar's Palace--
We watch Caesar, and if he cannot give us an answer for everything, a promise of good things to come, we say he is a failure. Caesar may not be able to fix everything. But, he is in big trouble if the masses figure that out. And, maybe Caesar is plotting to take over America. Maybe he is destroying the nation on purpose. Well, the Hidden Hand would not put up with that for long. If any President tried to actually destroy the USA on purpose, the Hidden Hand would arrange a ride in a convertible in Dallas for him. You see, the Hidden Hand (bankers) do not skim the cream of wealth off of destroyed people. THINK. Caesar is just being normal..... wickedly normal.

Fear of People--
People are bad. People are the problem. The cat poops on the carpet. You shoot the cat or donate him to some unsuspecting victim. But, people don't just poop on the carpet. They fall down your steps and sue you. They plot for you to get fired. They run into your Navigator and drive off. You sure do have reason to fear people. The thing is, people also make you happy. They cook your food. They cuddle you when you are tired. They teach you the Bible. They say, "Daddy, I love you." So, friend, you will have to decide if you want to be a hermit and have no fear of people, or live with us slobs and take some risks. It is normal to have both pain and pleasure with people.

DO YOU HAVE THE INTEGRITY TO TALK TO THE PEOPLE YOU FEAR?

WHO HAVE YOU REFUSED TO LISTEN TO?

Instinct to Prepare--
Men have been preparing for trouble since the beginning of time. Trouble is going to come. Is it normal to prepare? Answer: Yes. But, if you prepare for something that does not come along, you wasted your substance. What to do? You must learn to look at history. What REALLY turned into trouble? Prepare for that. What is classically a panic party that never happens? Do NOT plan or prepare for that. It is not normal to panic before the problem arrives, but, with the help of the media and the Internet, many people today are in a state of mild panic all the time. I am sick of it. I get very tired of hearing about the latest conspiracy. Go tell someone else please.

Fear That I Will Lose My Mind
So, what do you feed your mind? Millions of people today are feasting their minds on terror and conspiracies. Millions more have a continual flow of meaningless rubbish from social media. If you feed you mind on such things, it is no wonder you have moments of near panic over life as your mind sees it.

The Bible tells us that God is NOT the source of fear, at least the fear that warps the mind and destroys peace.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

There is a discipline that leads the Christian to peace of mind. Watch this video, and you will see that something is missing. Gratitude is the key to mental health. Also, the man is right in telling us that we should desire to be a blessing to one another, even to strangers.

The power of gratitude, a thankful heart, is beyond imagination. It is impossible to be grateful and full of fear. One will chase the other away every time. The key to mental health is to keep your sense of wonder. Always be looking for something for which to be grateful. Then, pass it on to someone else.

And, the missing part of the video? God. He is always eager to hear from a grateful child of his. When you are grateful, send your praise home to Father for giving you a break from the fear and struggle of life.

Psalms 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

This is a strange verse. We have the picture of God at home. And where is God at home? In the praise of his people. When your heart fills with gratitude, and when you send God a message of praise for some blessing, God gets very comfortable in your response to him. If you love God, you should want him to feel at home in you. A mind full of fear does not feel like home to God. Your praise is what he craves.

Then, pass the blessing on to someone else. You see a beautiful sunset as you are leaving a store. The first reaction should be, "Thank you, Lord." Then, turn to some stranger nearby and make a remark, especially giving glory to God. "God must love Texas, he gave us such gorgeous sunsets."

Psalms 66:8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

That is the only cure I know of to chase the mind sickening fear away..... gratitude and praise to God.

FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF? - PART TWO - PART THREE

Isaiah 32:16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

The Abnormal Millennials

The single most abnormal and troubled sector of modern society are the millennials born between about 1980 and 1997. They have been lied to, for their whole lives, by their parents, by the schools, and by society in general. They have been told they are winners, when in fact, they are some of the least educated and least prepared to live a normal life. They are told they are special, and all things will come to them, indeed, they are entitled to a great life and success. There is nothing more damning to a child's destiny than telling him he is entitled to success and prosperity.

This is why we now have ANTIFA, and other young adults, swarming the streets screaming in the face of society. They want their entitlements. Bernie Sanders played on this during the run up to nomination, and if he had been the nominee, he would have won the election by bringing out all the millennials to vote. They will only vote if they are offered lots of presents. Neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton figured this out. Millennials do not want America great again, they want America to give them a free lunch and a job at the top.

Do I sound cruel in talking like this? I have no intention of being cruel. I am simply telling you what these people's parents and society did to them.

This has been done to them, not by they to themselves. Those of us who are older, or younger, need to show some mercy on millennials. They really believe the lies they were told, and they walk out of the universities into a world that is totally unlike the model they were given. The most guilty, in this horror story, are the parents of millennials. You parents could have told them not to believe what the schools told them. You pastors did not help much either. Most of you did not really try hard to deprogram these young adults in your teaching, and you failed to really get to know them and learn what they were being told in the schools.

And the most damned of you preachers are you jerks in the Prosperity Gospel movement. You fed these millennials the same line at church which they heard at school. I hate you with perfect hatred because you hate the Gospel and the Word of God. Your Jesus in a Lamborghini is a fraud and an impostor. You will all burn in Hell for the damage you have done to millennials.

Millennials simply believed what they were told. They look at the mountain top, and they are told they own it. Just claim it. They are not told they have to actually climb the mountain one step at a time..... one hand hold at a time. They leave college, and they get a job. In a few weeks, or a couple of months, they want to know why they have not been given a raise. When their manager tells them that no one gets a raise until they have been there a year, the millennial gets grumpy, dusts off his résumé, and he flees to the next company.

HERE IS A PRICELESS SHORT DRAMATIZATION OF THE MILLENNIAL MIND SET

Ironically, the millennial ends up, not an upward movement young adult, but a constantly horizontal shifter, moving at the same entry level from company to company trying to get promoted to the top of the mountain after three months.

I am talking about this to you pastors and church leaders. Corporations are having to reeducate millennials in almost every area of life, including their social relationships. The alternative is to throw away the millennials and let them become homeless and indigent. So, you pastors must make a choice. Will you make a personal commitment to these young adults, or will you let them flounder and fail? You probably don't have many millennials in your church because you have no message for them. The message to them will have to be delivered with much love, patience, and honestly. They must become convinced you love them while you tell them their whole outlook on life is a disaster. Jesus did this, and there were those who stayed to pray. And, two thousand years later, the message is the same, and the Lord's Church circles the whole earth.

The following video is very blunt, but I want you to watch for the point where Simon Sinek suggests that corporations will have to reprogram millennials in order to salvage them for the work place. You, pastor, must replace the word "corporation" with the word "Church". Only a spiritual Christ centered solution will do. Corporations may convince millennials to become productive in the work place, but they cannot bring them the fundamental solution that changes their view of God and his plan for their life.

Get paper and a pen, and write down the areas of life and mind set of millennials, and go to your Bible, and find the solutions to these areas in which they have been poisoned by modern thinking. This is what you must teach them.

Most of you who read here are not committed enough to take up the cause of saving the whole man. You want to preach the Gospel, talk them down the aisle, and then preach them on into Heaven. With millennials you must give your whole soul and spirit to them and convince them that you care about them while you teach them hard truths about everyday living. The Bible has all the answers to their issues. Do you have the zeal to do the right thing? It is all about time, taking the time to care and make a personal investment in lives. I would suggest you, pastor, take the young adult class, and get on with the task before you.

In the context of this article, normal is not what millennials have experienced. Thus, they do not have a clue how utterly abnormal they are in the light of revealed Word of God.

The End:

What Will The End Be Like?

At the end of the Church Age, just before the Great Tribulation, and just before Messiah Jesus Christ returns to earth, life will be good. Right after it is good, the worst terror in human history will be loosed on the world's people in the form of the Antichrist, the Beast. Here is what life will be like:

Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Just before that final day of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, just before massive destruction of life, just before two thirds of the world's population is killed by several terrors, LIFE WILL BE GOOD. To those who reject Christ, everything will seem perfect. Some sort of peace will have been arranged, especially in Israel. This will be the new normal, the normal of the "peace in our time," and the normal of "make America great again."

Get this straight..... if the prophecies are being fulfilled in the Middle East, and if Russia is Gog and Megog, and if Russia is in the Middle East to fulfill Ezekiel 38, we are on the back edge of the Age of Grace. It is common for Bible believers to talk about hard times and terror coming. That is just not going to happen. Life will get better and better as we come to the end. So, stop counting on trouble. I am not convinced that Christendom will even experience much persecution. True Bible believers will be seeing some trouble, but it will not be overwhelming. The reason Jesus takes his Church, the Bride of Christ, out in the Rapture is that he does not want us to experience the wrath of Satan nor the wrath of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The man of sin is the Antichrist. We will not be taken out of here until after the Antichrist is revealed. We are nowhere told that we are displeasing to God if we don't figure out who he is. But, he will become known as a mover and shaker in the earth just before we are Raptured. Why at that moment?

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

The two above texts make it very clear that we are removed just before the Antichrist starts terrorizing believers. Those believers will not be the present Church. They will be those who believe in Jesus Christ during the Great Tribulation.

So, what will be the new normal? Answer: Just what you are now watching..... sloppy church, half baked sluggish Christians, big showy mega churches and false prophets. The Pope will grow more and more powerful as slop hog preachers and denominations join his juggernaut. The true Bride of Christ will be a small minority, and they will be freaks. That is you, and I hope you are biblically normal and worthy to be removed at any moment to the presence of Jesus.

What Is On The Other Side of Collapse?

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

The problem we all have is that we are prone to look at the immediate future, which IS bleak. It is not hard to predict collapse of the social order and the economy. And, we may be 100% correct. But, do we see beyond that? It is wicked to become preoccupied with the impending disaster and not look beyond it to the hope of the Bible believer.

Of course, you need to take prophecy seriously to have any hope. The problem is, ALL modern church groups have lost interest in prophecy. It was the main attraction in the 1970s, but since then prophecy has become almost a pariah topic. This has resulted in the saint losing his "blessed hope," and that results in impurity:

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

If you have no interest in prophecy in your home and church, no wonder you are impure in your thinking. No wonder you are morbid and occupied with impending doom. You have no hope. Believing in a sort of inevitable happy ending is NOT what God wants of you. Some of my Reformed friends have a uncertain happy ending mentality, and it leaves them very tolerant of loose morals. The ever present expectation of the Rapture of the Church is just the sort of motivation to holiness the Lord intended.

We also hear from Dominion and Reconstruction and Patriarch Theology people that we will bring in the Kingdom. We will one day soon take over the world. That is NOT taught in the Bible. The two texts above in 1 and 2 Thessalonians made it clear that we are taken out of this world. Satan then has it all to himself for seven years, and after that Jesus comes back to Jerusalem to rule for 1000 years. I have noticed that people who think they are going to take over and rule for Jesus are filthy morally, and they are full of arrogance and self-exaltation. Stay away from those people..... they are abnormal.

The Bible is about one third prophecy, and God does not put it there to amuse himself. The end of the Church Age is marked, as we will see below, by a Church turned into a Whore. The new normal of this day and age is a filthy prostitute stranding on the corner inviting you to commit adultery with the modern wretched honky tonk church. The truly normal Christian will spend a lot of time breaking eye contact with the Whore Church.

May I suggest, as a discipline, that you read Daniel and The Revelation at once? I believe you will get your future hope back up and running. And, it will, as the text above says, help you to want to be pure in your life. Normal Bible believers are alert to prophetic events in the world and Israel. Normal saints are eagerly looking for Christ to return. Abnormal Christians are trying to figure out who the Antichrist is and prepping to survive the Great Tribulation.

What Does The Bible Believer Think?

The average person today thinks that things are getting worse and worse. There is far more pessimism than optimism in society. This leads to fear of the future, and that fear leads to obsessions with preparedness. Being prepared for emergencies is wise, and stocking some food for the unexpected is also wise. But, 95% of all preparedness sites online, and in books, is based on terror of some massive crisis that has not arrived and probably never will. Alex Jones is the classic example. He spends all of his time hyperventilating in paranoid terror of the bogeyman, and then he sells you survival food and toys.

This is not the normal Christian life. The complicating factor is that many of the preparedness freaks are sitting in the pew of a church on Sunday. Worse, they spoil a lot of Christian fellowship by dominating the conversation and taking fellowship into a panic party over the next big threat. All the terror of the Obama Presidency ended with Obama sitting in a house two miles from the White House trying to destroy America and President Donald Trump. Obama is a joke as he travels the world making himself the porch monkey of world leaders. Were we really terrified of this spoiled Muslim brat? He is now a big joke, and everyone knows it. Yet, we wasted hours of good fellowship time grinding our teeth over the moral derelict. I personally believe he has AIDS and is wasting away and trying to get in his last licks of racial hatred before he dies a horrible death. We need to pity and pray for the man rather than fear him.

So, how about YOU, my friend? Are you a normal Christian? Read this passage and examine your soul and mind.

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now, what do you have to be grateful for?

God Knows

It is the end times. We learn from the Word of God that Christ is totally composed. He is in no panic. He is not in any doubt about those who claim to be his children. He sees the Tare Prostitute "church," and he sees the Seed Bide Church. He has no intention of allowing the Prostitute to stop him from building his Church.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

I use the terms Seed Bride and Tare Prostitute because that is exactly what Christ thinks of the two. These are based on Matthew 13 where Christ gave parables teaching what would happened as the Gospel was preached. We are now seeing the results in the end of the harvest.

Christ knows the Seed Bride Church, and he is eager to encourage them.

Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Christ also KNOWS very well the profane ways of the Tare Prostitute church:

Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

The vast majority of the alleged Church of Jesus Christ today is "wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." To their preachers, it is all about the gold, the girls, and the glory. True Bible believers must rejoice that they are the few, on the narrow way, and freaks to the mega church. It may well be only a short time before the Whore Church attacks the Seed Bride church. It has happened before, and the true Church thrived.

So, if you are in the Seed Bride Church, what is Christ's Word to you?

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

So, we conclude that the spirit of the age is to see the profane warped culture, and the prostituted church, as normal. Indeed, those on the narrow way are now freaks. It may get worse. The profane "Normal" will gather in more and more wickedness, and the true Bible believer will be more and more pressured by "normality" to be compliant-- to cave in. The truly normal Christian life will become identified with insanity by the world.

The blessing of this destiny is twofold:

1. The Bible believer remembers that Christ KNOWS. Christ SEES. Christ is COMING. Whatever terrors and evil the saint experiences now will be small stuff compared to the glory to come when we are with Christ.

2. We win. Bad as things seem, Christ says he will build his Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Bondage is slavery. Have you become a slave to modern society and totally abnormal as a Christian? If so, what will you do about it? How will you get back to being a normal saint according to the Bible?
