The experiences of witches who are born again by faith in Jesus Christ and confession of his name are often strange. This is because most of us were saved out of the lust of the flesh and our own selfish ways. Witches are saved out of this too, but added to their new life in Christ is a distinct battle with devils. My father officiated over the burning of fetishes of an old African lady in Tanzania in the 1950s. The elders of the church were present, and one of them guided the lady through the process of recalling all of her traditional fetishes. A fire had been built, and each fetish was burned in the fire. The elders and a few others from the local church were singing Power in The Blood quietly. The lady had scurried all over her village finding this and that fetish. Some had been buried in the ground for years to ward off some devil that had tormented her. Others she dug out of the thatch in the grass roof of her hut. |
Finally, everything became quiet and loaded with portent. An elder said one word quietly to the lady, and she removed a shell strung on a string around her neck. She had worn this shell since she was a baby girl, and it was believed to contain the spirit of her ancestor. She handed it to the elder, and he put it on a stone on the ground, and he smashed it with another rock.
My Dad said the lady shook violently as the shell burst, sat dazed for a short while, and then jumped up and smiled and started praising God.
Dear saint, what fetishes are there in your home of life? There are the artifacts which some people collect from around the world. I know for a fact that a wood carving, or an ornamental pipe, can be attached by an invisible bond to a devil.
I met a lady in an eating place one time who leaned I was from Africa. This lady was older and full of crass vanity about how clever she was with collectibles. She told me she had a problem with a cane from the Congo she had been given. She said she had it leaning in the corner of her living room. But, at night some force would turn the cane 180 degrees so that it was leaning into the corner against its own natural tendency. If she touched it, the cane would flip around and stop in a relaxed position. I told the lady there was demonic power in the cane and that she should burn it. She laughed nervously and assured me that she was able to deal with the thing. I suspect bad things came of her cavalier attitude in the end.
A young man named Dale came to me for help in the High Desert of California when I pastored there. Dale had been deep into a witch's coven in the area, and he had been present during human sacrifice of a baby. He accepted Christ and confessed faith in him, and at once he asked me to come and cleanse his home of devils. I told a deacon from the church, and we went through his home. He had a basement bedroom, and it was painted black. There were Satanic posters on the walls, and a number of witchcraft fetishes. I told him to burn all the stuff and paint the room another color.
After visiting every room in the home and praying over it, we talked with Dale's parents. They told us that even before Dale was born again they all had become troubled by a set of Tarot cards Dale used. Dale told his Mom she could burn them. She reported that when she tossed them into the fire in the fire place a huge flame burst out all the way across the room and terrified them.
You may be born again, my friend, but you need to ask God to show you any clever jewelry, collectibles, or music you own which is virtually accompanied by Satanic power. As long as you keep those things on hand the devils attached to them believe you are not really serious in your Christian faith, and they will be trying to take over areas of you life or torment you in sleep or other ways,

These people seem to be the product of a person who studied psychic phenomena or magik or wicca etc, etc, then exposed to the message of salvation. Sometimes it is not made clear to them that these studies were wrong. Probably because the witness did not know they were involved in the occult..
This is a tradgedy when it occurs, because if the person does not find a place in a Bible preaching church, he or she could go on for years before realizing what they have been doing. (If they ever do..) By then it will be even harder for them to believe. As a note of interest, MY magical ability increased when I made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as my savior. I had no idea that I was walking all over His blood every time I cast a spell. (a first rate deception from our enemy can be worse than an assault!!!)
Fortunately the Lord gave me a young lady who loved Him to be my wife. I loved her so much that I gave up magik so she would not be disturbed by it. I still had trouble...the power is both intoxicating and addictive. I slipped and fell a few times in the next couple of years. Mainly just out of reflex, as I still did not understand how wrong it was.
Then one night after I had attended a Bible study onboard the ship. I realized how terribly wrong I had been all this time, at this point I had started reading a King James Version Bible ( that's how I know it DOES make a differance) given me by my in-laws. I went off by myself and begged God's forgiveness asking Him to take away the abilities and knowlege that made such things second nature to me. He has not done so yet, I can't help but wonder if this is just to keep me humbled before him instead of relying on myself....
I still feel the scars that have been left on my heart and soul. I know of several people who have walked a similar path, but getting them to understand the truth is beyond me. When you come upon one of these people handle them with love and care. And pray, pray, pray...

I was kind of in the same boat, too. If you have not "lost" your powers, I would say that you have developed a link between your soul and spirit that shouldn't be there. You can ask the Lord to completely sever between your soul and spirit and remove ALL abilities that came from the demonically forged link. You can also close the doorways of witchcraft by the Blood of Jesus and "kick out" any spirits remaining in your house (your body, that's your 'house') and ask the Lord to close all doorways and seal them by the Blood of Jesus.
Does this make sense to you? You MUST renew your mind with the Word of God, and remember to have personal times of prayer and PRAISE to the Lord. And if Satan tempts you to try to use any powers again, just keep telling him to "get behind me". The Word says to submit yourselves to God, resist the devil and he WILL flee from you. Tell the devil you reject his thoughts and refuse to "think like that" (say this out loud).
The Lord loves you very much, and He says He is able to keep you (if you want to be kept, He will). Hope this helps you. God bless you.

a sense, the man above was dealing with the assumption that his occult powers
were normal, even after he was born again. A true Bible believer who comes out
of witchcraft will realize they are playing in Satan's sandbox, and they will
flee it. Each story by each such convert mar vary, but one thing is certain--
they will not come up with the rubbish this young lady is promoting. She is clearly
not born again.
It is clear that the lady is not talking to God, she is communicating with devils, and they are pretending to be God or Jesus. There are many stories of devils which, when confronted, claimed to be Jesus. I am sure that Satan is the master of deception, and he will present himself as anyone you crave to communicate to.
