As I told you, I knew of a church which, if not a Brownsville type, is certainly very close to it. On Sunday morning after Sunday school, I heard the following word of a "testimony" from a woman who bragged on the sanctified and spiritual condition of the men in this church: "I got so full of the spirit I stripped myself buck naked and ran around the auditorium [running the bases!] and the men there are so spiritual that not one of them even looked at me." All *I* have to say is "Yeah, right"! :) Hmmm, maybe I ought to send my wife instead of going myself! :) (Just kidding.) I hear that Arnott of Toronto and Kilpatrick of Brownsville are talking about a sword being given to them and their people to slay their enemies. If Moses were here, he would call for the sword to be used on Kilpatrick and Arnott themselves and on the naked ladies of their churches. Editor: Balaam's Ass Speaks-- Daryl was "Just kidding," but I have been thinking for some time that we will soon have to hold back telling what is going on "at the church house" of many Charismatic churches. It is now hard to discuss Holy Orgasm, Holy Bumps and Grinds, and now Holy Nudity. We also have the prospect of lusting men avoiding the door charge at night clubs and topless bars by "going to church." This is indeed an evil and perverse generation. How is it that alleged Christians can not only condone but EXALT this naked strip show in the churches? My only answer-- DEVILS!! Let me gross you out real good. In a video of the one year anniversary of Toronto Airport Church, I distinctly detected one of the male church members rolling on the floor in front with an erection. He was oblivious to reality, so this "manifestation" had to be infused by devils or God. What do you say to that Brownsville groupies? Who IS your god?

Brother Steve, No, I am not anywhere near Holy Trinity Brompton in London which has been the hotbed of Toronto etc in the UK. I am up in Scotland about 400 miles away (that is classed as a long way in Britain!) However, the influence of HTB - which we tend to call Holy Trinity Bedlam - is felt up here, mainly through their Alpha course which is touted as the most effective tool for evangelism. It is a pseudo gospel course which neglects repentance and soon becomes centred on the Holy Spirit, rather than the cross of Jesus. Thousands of churches are using it to apparant great success in getting people thorugh their doors. I thought it had spread to the USA? Certianly many are being converted, but often it seems they are converted to the church or to alpha rather than being saved by Jesus. To the average man, the cross is just silly, the world doesn't want to be told that they are sinners, yet as you rightly point out, unless they see themselves as sinners, they will never flee to Christ to be saved from the wrath to come. HTB's alpha is typical feel good evangelism. Brother Steve, I don't know if Celtic Christianity is growing in the USA yet but watch out for it - it is very New AGe. It is being promoted by many so-called evangelical churches in the UK. Again based on experience and feeling, neglecting truth. yours in Christ Chris
