PERSONAL: These
Bible studies are probably my last tango. I
have grown up in the home of a country preacher who served God in small churches
in Oklahoma, Arkansas, the California High Desert, Tanzania in Africa, Northampton
and Peterbourough in the UK, Killarny in Ireland, and on the Mexican border in
Arizona. My
journey in ministry for Christ, with my faithful wife by me side, God took me
to Michigan, Ethiopia, California, Kenya, Kentucky, Arizona, Tennessee, and finally
to the Hill Country of Texas. I
have a lot of experiences watching, and then participating in, the war on the
saints by our adversary the devil. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober,
be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour: Old
Slew Foot has been after me ever since I was born in downtown Los Angeles, California.
I was on a hit list of the Mau Mau, I have been stalked by leopards, and my wife
and I were in the middle of a Marxist coup. But no part of my journey has been
more close to the front lines than when I was simply teaching the Bible every
Sunday in a small church in the country. WAR-- it was always there. Read
about a demon possessed lady who chased me all over the county at high speed. Satan
did not get me though, for my God had chosen me before the foundation of the world
to be the object of his love and to preserve me until he has me up in the Glory
with him. Folks, it sure ain't been boring. My
legacy is all the people along the way that God blessed because, at times, I was
faithful. Also, Blessed Quietness Journal is where I tell what I have learned
from the Word of God and from all those people of God whom God used to guide me
along the way. And yes, I have learned a lot courtesy of Satan who loves to attack
me. If you are not in the battle, your life must be pretty dull. So,
I make comments for your edification. Please do not make the same stupid mistakes
I have made. Also, please take to heart the few things I have learned from the
Holy Ghost about life and the Word of God. Lead,
follow, carry ammo, or get out of the way. This is war. |
