HAS GONE DULL..... |
Back in the 1950s, which most of you were not here to experience, the message below would have been only heard from Gus Hall, the regular candidate for President for the Communist Party USA. This has changed. Communism worldwide has turned out to be a total failure. In no way are descenters calling for Communism as an answer to the death of the American Dream. The cold hard fact is, a few people are catching on. Many folks have realized that the perpetual warfare of the USA is a political and economic trick to keep the factories busy and the cash flowing into deep pockets. But, rather than demand reforms, the masses have accepted their role in this dull morbid ritual, and they have become servants of the system of world domination by a few men. We are in the Age of the Laodiceans (rule of the people) as described in the Bible book of the Revelation. This era is marked by two forces at social and political war with each other. |
The rulers, which the Revelation calls the Nicolaitans, crave control and power over the Laodiceans. The Laodiceans are in rebellion, whether only demonstrative or in outright street warfare, and the Bible indicates that the Laodiceans will prevail in the present era. And, it will not be pretty. What is tragic is that the self-satisfied Laodiceans have come to dominate the life of all of Christendom. Perhaps you are attending a Laodicean church.
A CULTURAL DISASTER
World War I and II were one continuous rush for the USA. We saved Europe twice, and then we went on to define the USSR as the evil empire. This gave us a way to keep the war rhetoric up with a new invention- The Cold War. This was a period in which the USA and the USSR both escalated their militaries and war making machines in a contest which was a farce of the highest order. Neither nation had any intention of having a nuclear war. They were getting rich, and taking control of the world so well. They NEEDED each other as the "other" we must keep up with if we do not want a World War that would destroy the whole earth. And, in third grade I dived under my desk and covered my head with my hands when the practice nuclear war siren sounded.
Sixty years later, you can go online and see thousands of web sites telling you how to get prepared for nuclear war. The Bible tells us there will be no "end of the world as we know it" until AFTER the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ as king of the world. But, I suspect you still worry about the end of the world, right?
What a hoot. Get ready to go to war. Everyone believed it, even the poor little nations felt obligated to take sides, and Europe jumped on board because every nation in Europe made use of the melodrama to crank up their industrial base making arms.
The years from 1945 to 1965 slowly led Americans into a dull mindless loyalty to this scam.
So, many years of building up an enormous arsenal went by. Neither the USSR nor the USA had battle tested any of their new toys, and they had training cadre in their militaries who had no idea what real war was about. It was time to battle test the machines and the men. Thus, Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm for the USA, and Afghanistan for the USSR.
But, then the end of the tragedy loomed. What if no one wanted to have another war? Thus, the Cuban missile crisis, and much later the Lebanon US barracks, and after another lapse, the 9/11 False Flag. And then, as gullible Americans waved the flag, and as Baptists and Pentecostals stood around the church foyer cursing "them towel heads," we went off to perpetrate the rape of the Middle East by the USA, and it will not stop until God stops the USA. America must have nonstop war or economically die. This is the end of the line for every empire in human history. War to the end, and crash.
What have American pastors said about this holocaust of millions of people in Asia and the Middle East by America?
Nothing. In fact, most conservative Christian pastors have the idea that if they don't wave the American flag and cheer for more blood in the Middle East, they are being traitors to "God and Country." Thus, God is enlisted in the US Army as a full participant in the glory of war and death. The chaos in the Middle East just has to be God's will. We might even raise God to he rank of General..... let him wear five stars.
THAT is the end of culture in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. No one gives a flip who the USA kills and sends off to Hell on a short schedule. Please stop and meditate on this my friend. Are YOU paying no attention to the death and mayhem the USA has caused in the Middle East. And, it all started with an American made demolition of two buildings in New York City, and weapons of mass destruction which were not there.
And, preacher, while you preach the Gospel to win souls for Jesus, to Hell with the masses in the Middle East, right? Has it ever occurred to you that God is bringing to you Middle Eastern Muslims and old world Christians who need Christ? Sure, it is as illegal as can be, and it is bad national policy. Sure, President Obama probably did this for evil motives. But, there is you missionfield, and you don't have to even have a passport to go to them. Now, that is absolutely terrifying, is it not? Give the Gospel to refugees? They are the bad guys, and surely Jesus did not die for "sand niggers," right?
Then again, what about the illegals from Mexico and points south? Does your politics and cultural mindset allow for them to receive the Gospel. I know a preacher in southern Arizona who would go with the Border Patrol and hand out tracts and Gospels to illegals. Illegals have no US Constitutional rights, so the Border Patrol decided they could be given the Gospel as they were being rounded up and returned to Mexico. This same preacher would go across the border to the train station in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and give the Gospel to people waiting for the train. One time the engineer even waited to leave the station while the preacher finished praying with a passenger. I don't care if you don't believe that. Your culture does not allow you to do anything rash and radical for the Gospel's sake. You have become a slave of the rules and regulations of the culture and the New World Order. You, sir, have become a dull slug. And, your congregation is twice the child of the culture you are.
This is the "father land" of Adolph Hitler. America is making itself the "Exceptional Nation" with the sick self-image of ruling the world and being number one forever. And, some people need to die, "collateral casualties" they tell me, so you can have the good life and keep the mega church packed to the walls. If you are not speaking out against this rape of the world, you are in complicity.
So, why is your church dull and reeking of sin and filth? Why are your deacons and elders worldly spiritual slobs? Why are YOU a big zero as to winning souls and really teaching the Bible?
Answer: You are the Laodicean Church, and Jesus is outside your church trying to get back in. And, for the record, I am including the most Fundamental and Baptist churches in the USA in this. Dull, sir, you are dull and disgusting. God has already puked your church, and Revelation 2 and 3 state.....
A STUDY IN THE NICOLAITAN AND LAODICEAN PRESENT
Revelation
2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which
hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest,
even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied
my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain
among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14 But I have a few things against thee,
because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac
to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed
unto idols, and to commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them that hold
the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
Revelation
3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith
the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert
cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased
with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched,
and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of
me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou
mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint
thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke
and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door,
and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him,
and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant
to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my
Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit
saith unto the churches.
In the first text you see the Nicolaitans identified. The name is "Nico-laitan," or "above the people." No concept better defines the ongoing conspiracy, by highly placed men and women, to control the masses and rape them of everything but their mindless servitude, better than the mythical "American Dream." We are told by both Liberal Democrats and the Republicans that Americans DESERVE to acquire their place in the American Dream. The fact is, there is no promise anywhere that an American can have his dream, neither in the Bible nor the US Constitution. An American can PURSUE happiness according to the Constitution, but the possibility of seeing his dream come true depends entirely on whether or not he is willing to work for it.
Of equal nausea is the message of the mega church, and many smaller churches, that is, that God owes you a great life if you simply name it and claim it. The great "I Am" of the Laodicean church age is the arrogant members chanting, "I am great, I am wonderful, I am a promise, I am a possibility." And, you wonder why your church is dull? It is dull because you are satisfied with it that way.
The Nicolaitan world elite know they will own the world. They believe it in their soul. That is, until the Stock Market crashes or the the US Dollar tanks. Their power is given to them by YOU. You play along with their games. You go into debt up to your absolute limit, you have two or three family members working in the world's market place to pay the debts. And, you dream of paying down your debts so that you can do it all over again. You have only liabilities with no assets.
The Bible believer at the church house is the exact same. He is busy paying off the church mortgage, or financing the greed of the preacher, while he no longer lives in the riches of life in Christ Jesus. Liabilities without assets.
You buy things you don't really need. You turn new things to junk by storing them in the closet, and one day you throw them away or take them to Goodwill. You race around amusing yourself with fun and games with the world because you imagine they make you happy. And, one day you destroy it all by getting a divorce.
The Nicolaitans have no power to force you to do these things. You listened to the Globalist propaganda, and you did it to yourself. You listened to your blind guide preacher, or Joel Osteen, or James Dobson, or Paula White, and your spiritual life is now dull as you spin in circles trying to claim your blessings.
The Laodiceans rage and whine because they want to be rich and have need of nothing.
Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Once the Laodiceans reach the point where they are rich and have need of nothing, they have made themselves wretched, miserable, poor, and blind and naked. In what way are they such abjects? Answer: Both spiritually and culturally the American Laodiceans are spiritual beggars plodding along in slavery to their lust for more stuff. They will never be satisfied, and they will fill the land fills and city dumps of America with their stuff, much of which is as good as new because they never used it.
Laodicean Christians are also just plain dull. This is perhaps the most fearful aspect of this Bible passage. When a group of Christians come to the point where they are totally satisfied with themselves, and think they need nothing, they have become worthless at tits on a boar hog (Appalachia version).
Witness the modern trend of the mega church. It is full of people who crave to be told, by the grinning buck toothed wonder boy down front, that they are happy, wonderful, and full of potential. They grab their Starbucks java and rush out the door convinced that their Laodicean lust for riches, along with the preacher's approval, make them rich and in need of nothing. In fact, their souls is totally filled up with self-love and the anticipation that God owes them more stuff because they laid a one hundred dollar bill on the preacher in the offering. Meanwhile, Jesus is outside that big loud spiritual night club, the one with flashing lights and with the rock band dancing in the smoke, and he is knocking to get back in. Indeed, he may not even be there anymore. He may have puked your church and walked away.
How does it feel to be part of God's vomit? Hmmmm
The supreme irony is that your monster church pastor is really a low level Nicolaitan. He is welcome at worldly council meetings and local and national power people gatherings. He is a full card carrying member of the Nicolaitan club. And, you think he is Reverend Wonderful. You poor fool.
Here is where this all started, circa 1960. This is the national anthem of the mega church:
As long as the churches of America keep dishing out this doctrinal rubbish religion, a religion based on American marketing propaganda, Christ will keep puking out this filthy church. And, the masses and fools in the church houses of America will keep eating the swill from Hell dished out by their hireling pastors.
Jeremiah 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.
Indeed, Christendom worldwide has become very dull. The vitality seen in the book of Acts, along with the zeal of self-sacrifice for the sake of Christ, is gone. It is all about ME and what I will get out of it. Thus, the local church in America has become a marketing system where you are sold a product. The church, when gathered, is gathered around a stage where men are lifted up and lights shine on them. The teaching and study of the Word of God is assigned to one man, the official teacher, and the people sit in silence and assume they are being well fed. This freak is in no way similar to the early Church of the New Testament.
THIS
VIDEO NAILS THE PROBLEM DIRECTLY
I don't expect you to like watching this
video, but you CANNOT prove the man wrong by using the Bible.
So, your Nicolaitan guru stands at a large pulpit and fills your little thimble all the way up and running over. You imagine that you will become a mature Christian by sitting before the guru two or three times a week. How would you look if you only ate food three times a week? You have become the private slave of the guru and the system that promotes him.
HERE IS A VIDEO OF A PHD WHO HAS STUDIED THE CULTURE OF AMERICA
You must watch this in order to understand much of what follows in this article.
In the opening paragraph I told you that the Laodiceans would revolt against the Nicolaitans who rule. This rebellion will be lawless and violent in one way or another. Millions my be killed before the Nicolaitans are subdued, and even then, the Nicolaitans will scheme strategies to take back their control. The battle for control will rage back and forth.
HERE IS THE CALL TO REVOLT
This revolt is in progress with Anonymous, Occupy, Tax Rebellion, the Militia, Antifa. In the rest of the world you have Islamic Spring, ISIS, the refugee / Right Wing conflict in Europe, the destruction of the Ukrainian government by the USA and street Nazis, the slaughter of Syria, and street riots all over the world. Here is the basis of revolt in the USA:
Is this something a Bible believer should take part in? If not, why does your local church seem to be just as dull as the wretched world around you? Why do Christians talk so much about how hopeless the future looks?
THE ALTERNATIVE- THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD
What these voices are telling us is that we are doomed to continue in the long deep rut which our recent American leaders got us into. For the vast majority of Americans that is quite true. We all would like to think we are the exception, but in what way? Most Americans live in almost the same social and economic pattern that their parents lived in. Their parents' life ended economically somewhat better than their parents before them, but mostly because there was no Great Depression once they left the 1940s behind. Why do we all seem to repeat the same thing in the same way?
So, can we change anything?
My grandfather on my Dad's side was a godless man while my grandmother was quite godly. My Dad was right there in the rut with his father until friends down the street invited my Dad to go to church with them. He liked the boys in the family, so he went along for something to do. God also arranged for my grandfather to die rather young, so Dad came under the protection and influence of the father of the family down the street. The father of that home was reasonably prosperous and had a very pleasant disposition while being a disciplinarian.
My Dad had to drop out of school in ninth grade and go to work, or his Mom and he would have lost the house. The Great Depression was in full swing. Dad became involved in the church of the family down the street, and Dad confessed Christ as his Savior. Dad's priorities changed completely spiritually, but the Great Depression raged on. Dad kept the work ethic of his father and the life ethic of his Heavenly Father and the Word of God.
Dad worked on the WPA chipping granite for the foundation of the Little Tujunga Dam above Los Angeles. He worked with a gang of Mexicans called the Mexican drag line. He was the first Anglo who came back the second day and stayed with the Mexicans. That is how awful the work was. The Mexicans adopted Dad out of admiration of his determination. Later, Dad climbed palm trees to prune off the dead leaves around Los Angeles. That was an era when nothing came to Americans that they did not go and get themselves. My Dad's work history was rough, but it was not dull.
Dad went to the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, and he was soon drafted into WW II. Dad was an Army medic in the Pacific, and while stationed at Little Makin Island in the Gilbert Islands (now called Kiribati) Dad was asked by the native church to teach a Bible study on the main island. It took a special order from the Army, and Dad had to go every Sunday by native canoe to the church to teach. Dad was always looking for some way to enlarge his life for Christ.
After WW II ended, Dad finished the Bible Institute, and he and Mom were soon off to the river bottom land of Oklahoma along the Canadian River. Dad pastored a small mission church and led several Bible studies in public school buildings. We were poorly supported, but I never knew how poor we were. Dad always found a way to keep food on the table. We ate rabbits from the woods and frog legs, as well as food the neighbors donated. Dad milked a cow, and he joined in when nearby farmers needed help shelling corn of butchering a hog.
Dad went on to pastor a church in a small town in northeastern Oklahoma where he was known as the town preacher. We had baptisms in the river, and dinner on the ground afterward. Dad was the "safety engineer" at the Fourth of July fireworks event. Dad had experience in construction and came from California, and that seemed to be the best qualification to be in charge of safety. Dad was always busy visiting the saints and sinners in the community, and he was the "Reverend" at the general store. When Dad walked into the store he heard the dominos rattling and flying into a carton in the back room. You see, the good old boys were gambling at dominos, and they didn't want the Reverend to know that. Why is the church today dull? Answer: Preachers are no threat downtown anymore. That is why.
Dad and Mom moved back to California, and Los Angeles was way too tame for Dad. He took a church in the High Desert where most of the people were fugitives from Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri who also had no use for the big city. Dad again was all over the desert visiting sinners and saints. He always made friends with sinners who loved Dad because of his ability to fix things and find a way to do improvise.Dad and Mom then grabbed my brother and I, and we went to Africa in 1953. This whole way of life of my Dad's, that is, of keeping on the move to find a harder place to serve the Lord, was normal to me. I loved it. Going to Africa involved a stay of six weeks in New York City, and Dad made it into a great adventure instead of hating that monster. I still remember Dad taking me to the Lower East Side to visit the sidewalk markets of the Jewish businesses. They had tables outside their stores loaded with virtually anything you could imagine. We also ate at the automat where all the food was behind little doors like a Post Office. People in NYC were mostly kind and decent in those days. Everything was an adventure with Dad and Mom. We ate hot dogs, hot chestnuts, and soft pretzels with mustard from street vendors.
In Africa Dad and Mom lived a life of adventure spiritually. Dad built a middle school and taught the Bible to believers in mud brick churches with grass roofs and walls plastered with cow dung. Dad shot a lion that was killing the Africans' goats, and he kept meat on the table by shooting game on the plains. Dad was one of the people he ministered to, and the Masai tribe made him an elder in the tribe.
Vocationally, I went another way from my Dad. He took a couple of college classes and became a pastor. I went to college and got a degree. Dad was a great improviser and mechanical genius as well as being a missionary. Dad always thought he was slow at learning, so he made up for this by studying long hours. In the end he became very well informed by finding and talking with men who knew their field well. I have done this and taken it a step higher in that I was a public school teacher for some years, and then I got into piano tuning about thirty years ago. These professions, like Dad's skill at driving big trucks, was my way of providing for my family while I pastored small churches. My wife and I were missionaries in Ethiopia and were there during the military coup of 1974. We lived in the bush country far from city life, and I too was admitted into the tribe where we lived. Later, because of the coup, we moved to Kenya where I was headmaster of a Bible school for training pastors.
I too pastored a church in the California desert, two country churches in Michigan, and one near the Mexican border in Arizona.
I tune pianos, teach, write editorial online, I wrote a book on Islam which I researched for six years, and I am a rather good gardener. I am very different from my Dad in some ways, but economically, the Ph.D. was spot on. Somehow, I repeated much of what my Dad did. Is this because I have had no opportunities to climb up the ladder of social prosperity to a higher notch? No. I had an online business for thirteen years which was booming when I sold it. I considered going after venture capital, finding a partner, and growing the business to compete on a much higher level. I had the potential in a file drawer to double the product line. I had a son-in-law who had managed a much larger business who would have helped. I was the only piano parts and tools business in the world with a full tutorial for the ordinary man on how to tune and repair his own piano. I had all the potential to make the leap upward.
We sold the business, and our home in Tennessee, and we moved STRAIGHT to Texas. After all that astounding life journey, I am ending my life about 130 miles from where my Mom was born in San Antonio, Texas. We are comfortable, out of debt, and we have enough.
So, why did I sell the business and our home in Tennessee? Answer: I had enough. God had blessed me, and I did not believe I could demand more from him. We are, by government definition, in poverty, but we live in a setting that much richer people would only get for a very high price.
So, the sovereignty of God is missing in the model of the Ph.D. above. Worldly scholars cannot possibly bring themselves to deal with the entrance of God Almighty. The God of the Bible gives hope and promise of good things to come, while the Ph.D.s and talking heads predict that the boogie man is going to wreck everything.
The Psalmist had another view of life:
Psalms 16:6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
"Lines" in that verse has many meanings in Hebrew. It was probably the concept of a measuring line to David. But, it could also mean band, coast, company, cord, country, destruction, line, lot, pain, pang, portion, region, rope, snare, sorrow, or tackling. Ironically, all of those words fit my life. And, God has made my "lines" fall into pleasant places also.
My life was anything but dull, as you saw above. I see this as the sovereignty of God leading my wife and I to live a life of adventure and the unpredictable. If I had it all to do over again, I would want the same path again. Well, I would ask the Lord to add in just one thing next time around..... I have a craving to hunt tigers in the Hill Country of India like Jim Corbett.
And, now you can see why the dull Laodicean Church Age is getting on my nerves. I cannot stand the dull dumb slobs who sit in the corner and stare at their I-phone, both in the world and in the church. I cannot stand churches where people attend on Sunday and Wednesday evening, but they have no time for one another between Sundays in their homes. I also am tired of pretty people in pretty clothes sneering at any loser who drifts in the back door of the church.
I want to drink coffee late at night with weird people who love the Lord Jesus and shoot some pool at the bowling ally or KOA. But, they are all gone..... all sitting in front of a TV or computer living in la la land and surfing YouTube to see the latest high speed chase by cops on the Santa Ana freeway in LA.
So, again I make the observation that, for a Bible believer, not being upwardly mobile is not about the American Dream failing us. It may be for some people, but the Ph.D. simply has not learned the joy of "ENOUGH." I would agree that the vast majority of Americans try to leap from a lower level to a higher one and fail. They fall back to the rut of their parents, and they die not having participated in the alleged American Dream. That is why people with a $400,000 home, a Lincoln and a BMW, and managing a prospering business, can be heard complaining that life is getting harder and harder to endure and that they are barely making it.
These people are stuck on stupid. They could have bought a $200,000 home, settled for a Ford Crown Vic and a second hand BMW from CARMAX, and they would be in exactly the same income bracket, but with no debt and with money in the bank. They would have ENOUGH, and they would not be up to their nostrils in debt. Life would be good.
Or, they could have bought a piece of property in the desert or farm country just outside the city where they work and had a place for their kids to grow up chasing rabbits, lizards, and learning to read the signs of animals walking in the woods. But no, these poor slobs are obsessed with suburbia or the big city. They have a dull life in a box that is matched to all the other boxes around them, and they don't have a clue what God really wants them to do with their lives.
SING ALONG WITH THE DULL ANTHEM
So, why did I drag you into my personal history? Well, that is the one I know best-- so there-- deal with it. My point is this. If we settle for God's sovereignty as the driving force in our life, and if we settle for just enough, and learn to like it, who in blazes cares what rut we are in? IT IS GOD'S RUT.
You
may quote me on this:
In order to stay out of the ditch, a true Bible believer
will find the rut God made and stay in it forever.
Hebrews
13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things
as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man
shall do unto me.
If I covet anything when I am out and about it would be old Lincolns from the 1970s. We bought two of them used, and it is great to ride around in one of those monsters. They ride so smooth, and I always feel like I have the majority if some idiot in a Fiat tries to cut me off. We paid $150 for our first Lincoln because it idled badly. I repaired that with two twists of a screwdriver tightening down a condenser. The second Lincoln cost us a lot more-- $1600 and had 90,000 miles on it. So, if I could find an old 1978 Lincoln for about $1500 I would grab it in a flash. Do I NEED a Lincoln? No. I have a Dodge Caravan that is running great. It needs a headliner, but we will be able to fix that one day soon.
So, be careful about your "conversation," as the above verse suggests. Conversation, in the old English of the King James Bible, included our talk AND our way of living around people. So, if you grumble about taxes, gas prices, and your alleged sense of being a complete beggar, but then again, you have never gone hungry because you ran out of cash, you have devilish "conversation" going down, and God is upset with you. GOD, not the US Government tax collectors and mortgage company, dropped you into the rut you think you are in, and he wants the glory for taking care of you.
1
Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought
nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And
having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will
be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts,
which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is
the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the
faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man
of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love,
patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many
witnesses.
So, what does this have to do with the Lord's Church and the present Laodicean era. Well, this is the statement of almost all churches, liberal, conservative, Baptist, Fundamental, Pentecostal, and ALL mega churches.
Revelation
3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of
nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and
blind, and naked:
16
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee
out of my mouth.
Jesus Christ has puked this prosperity church age. And, you Fundamental Baptists are right there in the middle of this thing. You preachers..... I have been to many of your pastor's rallies. I hear you in the foyer before preaching sessions and at the dinner table. You talk about how many souls you won, how many buses you have running, and how many missionaries you support. The bottom line is your cash flow which pays for all these accomplishments. Some of you even brag about how much giving you have coming in. You are a bunch of greedy bastard sons, and you are puke, the puke of God.
But worse, you are dull and utterly boring. I gave up on you guys long ago. I no longer go to your rallies to hear you brag on your bastardized Christianity. When I want fellowship with a preacher, I find a brother who is whipped and thinks he is a failure as a pastor. I delight in telling these brothers that God is still in control and he will use them if they stay faithful.
And, if you don't like my complete lack of political correctness, stop by our place some time, and I will let you take me and my wife to Teresa's Dixie Kitchen for catfish dinner and a country music band. I am truly sorry you did not end up in Texas. For you high toned folks from Baston, Massachusetts, you can take us all to Luigi's Italian Restaurant. Be sure to come by on a Thursday. That is the night when they have a guy singing who is a Frank Sinatra copy, complete with fedora.
BACK TO TOPIC-- WHY ARE CHRISTIANS DULL?
Answer: The reason Christians are dull is because they have need of nothing, just ask them. They are rich, and so that they can make sure no one interferes with their wonderful world of prosperity, and the mega Vegas church rush. They asked Jesus to step outside the church for a while so they could rearrange the moral and cultural furniture, and there he is..... knocking to get back in:
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
The sheep have left the Shepherd of their salvation, and they have their attention firmly directed toward the platform and the show up there. "The music is great, the rock band is cool, especially the drummer, and the message makes me feel great. I must be a great example of a faithful Christian. Beside that, I tithe faithfully, and the pastor shakes my hand every Sunday and tells me I am very special to him personally. This must all please God because it works."
Meanwhile, the homeless are still homeless, the widows are still struggling to survive, and the orphans are still fatherless. The last time you actually spoke to a stranger about your faith in Jesus Christ was back in 1995 at Wal Mart. Your week looks basically no different than that of your neighbors who are lost and going to Hell. Your family is obsessed with technology, and you never read the Bible as a family. You pray over your meals, but that is seldom because you all eat at different times. And, you never have friends from the local church over to your home. You are too busy being a dead beat Laodicean Christian.
YOU ARE A DULL SLUG.
FIX IT NOW, OR GOD WILL FIX YOU IN WAYS YOU WILL REGRET GREATLY.
Hebrews 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
No chastening? Everything going great for you as you live your spiritually dull life and leave out the Word of God? The text above implies that you are a spiritual bastard. That means you are of your father, the devil. No wonder you are dull.
THE CURE
It is time to quit the American Dream cold turkey and return to ENOUGH.
WATCH HOW THIS WORKED FOR ONE FAMILY
It is also time to quit the Laodicean Church. Find a group of Christians who meet on Sunday, but be sure they meet for coffee between Sundays. The Lord's Church is supposed to be a family, not a corporation.
Churches, that is, groups of born again believers, need to gather and worship, edify one another, and find a social place of fellowship. This can be done in a House Church. There are now thousands of them, and they serve a real purpose in answering the need for fellowship in areas where all organized churches are compromised and teaching error. YOU may have to take the initiative to start a House Church. If you wait for someone else to do this, it may never happen. You and some godly friends might also want to put out a call for a Bible teacher to move to your area and get a job in the market place while teaching in your House Church. This would only be needed if no one in your fellowship has the gift of the Holy Spirit to teach.
HERE IS MY JOURNAL SECTION ON STARTING A HOUSE CHURCH
On a personal level, and with your own family, here are some steps you can take to cleanse your soul and mind of the cultural and spiritual dullness now permeating all of both society and Christendom.
1. Stop making more debt, pay off existing debts.
Teach your family the virtue of being thankful for enough.
Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
Teach your wife and children to seek excellence in what they do, but to stop comparing themselves to others. Christ is the example to the believer, so read the Gospels to your family, and discuss the attitudes and life choices of Jesus.
2. Break off friendships with people who pull you down or hold you back.
Whether it is in moral choices, or in doctrines that are suspect, you must leave behind people who are not moving into a deeper walk with Jesus. If this means leaving the church you attend and looking for new fellowship which edifies you and your family, DO IT.
Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.Replace those sloppy agape friends with interesting people who love the Lord. Your kids need to meet people who are living in victory and are content with enough. Invite people to your home again, like your parents did thirty years ago. Tell your kids to invite their friends to visit your home so you can tell what kind of friends they have. Make times during the week to meet a Christian friend to have lunch or coffee with you. Stop doing all your giving in the offering plate, and use some of that cash to take a street person to lunch.
Every time we go to town shopping or to eat out, we ask God to make us a blessing to someone. May I tell you that he always answers our prayer? But then, you cannot pray that way and then avoid people. Some of you men will tell me you are "the silent type." Bah. What if Jesus had been the silent type? What a disaster his life would have been. Imagine Jesus walking through the temple, seeing the money changers, and just sighing and shaking his head. If that is you, YOU ARE DULL, sir. You need to ask God to loosen up your tongue and give you a heart for lost souls and your fellow Christian brothers.
3. Feed your mind with stories, history, news, and spiritual content,
and help your family do the same.Stop parking your butt in front of this world of sensational rubbish, the Internet. Stop making social media your place to make friends. Go back to reading books that expand your thinking. Read true stories of old time missionaries and big game hunters in Africa and Asia. Read writers, vigorous men, who will make you think, like Winston Churchill and Teddy Roosevelt.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Proverbs 15:14 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
I personally avoid devotional reading by men like Ravenhill and Tozer. I find that they lead me way too close to living on emotions and spiritual panic. To get your spiritual batteries charged, read the King James Bible. Avoid all other modern translations. They are simple minded and leave out thousands of verses and words. The KJV is rated at High School or College level by researchers, and all other translations rate at the elementary school level. Maybe that is why the Sunday sermon sounds so much like Mother Goose instead of King James.
Finally, if you have been blessed with the ability to write and express yourself, start a web page aimed at edifying the saints. You may feel you do not have the time. My guess is that you could easily find the time if you sat still and asked yourself honestly what time block in your week is really a bit selfish of you. We all have these, and they need to be put on the altar for God to redirect. My journal and blog posts reach right around the world. I am heavily loaded in Russia, Singapore, and Indonesia, and I have no idea why. My per capita visitors from Jamaica are astounding, and again, I have never figured out why. But there they are, and for some reason they keep coming back. Could your service to Christ be enlarged?
4. Examine all things.
Psalms 26:2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Whether it is the sermon in a church gathering, or news from the media, STOP accepting the persons of men as if they are the final authority. NO MAN on earth should be your final authority. The Word of God, Jesus Christ, must prove things wrong or right. Your job is to have a healthy sense of skepticism about all things coming at you.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Indeed, start doing this with this article. Anything I have said above which clearly violates the Word of God is a lot of rubbish. You owe me nothing except to love me in Christ. If you find error in my teaching, please send mail, and show me the Scripture which I have violated. I will make changes if you rightly divided the Word of God.
Whatever is good, pure, wholesome, and edifying, put it into action in your life and home. Shuck off everything else.
5. Stop dissecting yourself
This article may have caused you to start thinking of yourself and your life as worthless because of your dull friends, job, and church. What is needed is for you to look around you, at your life, and your dreams, and DO SOMETHING. Dedicate the effort to the Lord, but DO IT.
It is better to do something for the Lord badly than to do nothing at all for him. It is better to change the flow of life and find that you have to do it all over again than to park in the dull zone for the rest of your life.
What you will be told right now by Satan is that you are much too dull to change or do something else well.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
6. Have you been feminized by the culture

"A special leniency should be shown to a man who uses influences to find himself a place near the flashing of the guns." Teddy Roosevelt
Do you crave the place of action, the place of the vigorous life, or are you coasting along with the dead beats?
Does your pastor crave the vigorous life? If not, get out of there, and find a church pastored by a man like David, a man after God's own heart. David had his weak moments, but God loved David because he was a man who always came back to God in humility, and when he pleased God, it was because he was a man of action. There is absolutely nothing dull about the life of David. How about YOU?
And, to you pastors, are you a dull slug? Are your hands pretty, and you are never caught in coveralls? THAT is your problem. You are a lazy slob. Now, I know what you think. "This guy should use nicer language to talk to a 'man of God' like me." Well, Jesus got very rough in his talk to the Pharisees. If he came to you in the flesh today, you would hear some very rough language from God the Son. Jesus lived a very vigorous life. That is the hallmark of every great man of the Bible, AND every great man of the Church Age. Jesus also let the vigorous men, fishermen like Peter and John, set the pace. Matthew, the bureaucrat tax collector did not lead Jesus to a wine shop to sip the cup and talk politics. Matthew had to go fishing to stay in Jesus' entourage.
Pastor, you will ask, "So, where do I start?" My answer to you is, get a fishing or hunting license, and find a couple of men in your church who will go with you into the woods. You can read some theologian's commentary, but can you read sign in the woods and tell how long ago a deer walked by? Can you tell if it was a buck or a doe? Get away from this computer screen you are addicted to, and find something manly to do that can include soul winning or edification. God does not care diddly how many followers you got on Facebook. God is a lot more impressed with how many manly men follow you to your favorite fishing hole. And, I am talking about fishing for bass and trout. Some of you think that handing out tracts is the vigorous life. Bah. Burn some calories, sir. I see that belly of yours, and you need to work on that just as much as on your next sermon. Whenever someone walks to the altar to pray, mark that person down as someone you must have coffee with next week. If it is a lady, take your wife along. But, get your butt off that office chair for the glory of God. And, kick that son of yours off of the I-phone, and take him with you fishing.
Finally, all around you are dull people, some at work, some in the market place, and some at your local church. These are Laodiceans who are content to be consumers, enslaved mentally and financially by the New World Order or elite. You are called to better things. Why live a small dull life when you can step up boldly and live a full life in Christ Jesus?
CHRISTIAN BOLDNESS IS ALL ABOUT SPEAKING OF JESUS CHRIST WITHOUT FEAR
You now have my permission to stop playing defensive ball and play on the offense.

BEWARE OF "SIMPLE CHURCH"
This movement sounds very biblical, but it is highly structured from above. The Southern Baptist Convention has a curriculum and training program for people who want to start a simple church. They can then be under the authority of the SBC, and the SBC lovingly welcomes them to support the SBC financially. Bingo. Follow the cash trail. So, drop the expression "Simple Church" to avoid being co-opted into the very same structure you are trying to escape. Call yourself a "House Church." Do not go looking for some famous Amos to supervise your assembly. Study the New Testament, and ask God the Holy Spirit to show you what your church gathering should look like. Having said that, some of the concepts in the video are commendable, but if you were paying attention, you realized that traditional church pastors and leaders were the talking heads of the video. You heard almost nothing from people attending a house church. This is what I am talking about which you must avoid.THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS TO MEGA CHURCHES WHEN CHRIST PUKES THEM

House churches need to avoid making a cult of their choices. The possibility of several house churches having occasional meetings for singing and worship is something to look into.
