When the dispensation of Noah ended, and when Lot left Sodom, there were some startling points to consider, according to the Lord Jesus Christ: Luke
17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the
Son of man. |
Lot left Sodom with his wife and two daughters. His wife looked back, and there were only three who remained after the wrath of God in fire. Lot and his daughters remind me of the exit of the few in the liberal and modern evangelical churches who will be taken in the rapture of the Lord's Church. Filthy as they are, God has mercy on them, only because they are born again and "vexed with the sins of Sodom."
Noah preached for 120 years, and when he entered the ark, only eight people remained after the wrath of God in the flood. These are the eight souls out of millions of alleged Fundamental and "Bible church" members of Christendom. Extremely few are truly born again.
This tells me that in the last days, the Times of the Gentiles, just before the Son of Man arrives to establish his Messianic rule for a thousand years, wicked men will prevail in seemingly Fundamental Bible believing church movements and local churches. I believe that we are very close to the removing of the Bride, the Church of Jesus Christ, and I also believe that there will be very few removed. This urban legend about airplanes crashing and car pile ups, just after the rapture, is highly over rated I think. The party will rage on, and we will not be missed much.
Luke
18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him,
though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Every dispensation in God's economy of work in this world has ended with disaster, in that, the truth was obliterated by wicked men, and only a handful of righteous men passed on into the next economy of God's work with men. I note also that the most wicked men were the most "fundamental" and "Bible believing", as was the case with the Pharisees and the Scribes who published and exposited the Bible in Jesus' day.
The pattern today, for many pastors and saints, is to exalt themselves in their own eyes by examining all others by their standards:
2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
John spoke of the age now maturing, like a rotting carcass in the sun:
Revelation
3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith
the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert
cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased
with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched,
and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
We are talking here about dealing with evil men in the manner commended by the Apostle Paul:
2
Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented
of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11 For behold this selfsame
thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you,
yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea,
what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have
approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
I trust that the Moral Issues and Bible Studies in this journal will be edifying as we walk together with The Lord Jesus Christ in the end of this Age of the Church.
